Its the R.A.I.D (Renault Anti Intruer Device IIRC), if you want to turn it off or on then with the key in the ignition turned on (with engine not running) lock it and unlock it twice with the locking button and it will disable it.

yeh it will take off all the wax and protection it may had before, so will look pretty sh*t, just use plenty of the QD on the panel and you'll be fine, just make sure its polished and sealed afterwards and all should be fine, :)

if its non-endorsable and doesn't affect your insurance why would anyone have one? if your breaks failed with no mot and you had an accident then i am 100% sure it would invalidate your insurance and you can be taken to court and fined for no mot.

you'd have an MOT certificate if it had been done, i know i wouldnt be waiting 2 weeks to have it done, not worth the risk of no insurance and points if you get pulled over, etc. Claim the cost back from them when the manager returns maybe? surely they have got some one doing his job whilst hes...
