Welcome to CS, where abouts in NY are you from?

    Different tyre profile sizes

Well it's not really rake, but people call it that. Higher profile tyre at the back than the front will make the car sit slightly nose down, but not enough to notice with 50/55.

    Different tyre profile sizes

Safe. Some people deliberately buy different profile front and rear tyres to adjust rake.

    Sparco seat mount issue

Have you got some pics of what you've got? Just sounds like it's the wrong mount for your seat.

    Exchange calipers

Thanks guys - does anyone know if the guide pins / seals are dealer only (part numbers would help too) or if they're available elsewhere.

Pics would help. It's not a base mount seat or something daft like that is it?

enlareged throttle body for ph2 172??

If the amount of air is increased/decreased (for given other parameters) then it will take time for the ECU to adapt, so yes, that is possible.

Amazing circuit. Amazing noise. Amazing control.

    Exchange calipers

Where's cheapest / best? Also need new sliders, bolts and seals as my current ones are seized, rusty and perished. Are these dealer only or specialists sell them too?

    Different rear springs

Do either of these rear springs look correct for the Cup (ones got many more coils than the other)? I'm guessing that since the former owner put Unipart brake pads in, he probably just put random coil springs in too. Left (NS): Right (OS):

Track car wheel & tyre advice needed

2 will give you best dry grip. 1 will give you best wet grip and general all-weather/winter road performance.

    Cup starting issues

When it doesn't fire, it doesn't get as far as turning over, just clicks like battery dead, but no dimming when headlights are on. This can happen once or a few times, then it just starts first time and runs fine, no other symptoms of duff cp or leads. Battery is a unipart one, no idea how...

    Cup starting issues

One of the little problems that's starting to bug me is an intermittent starting problem. Turn the key, all the dash lights come on and go out, go for the ignition and nothing happens (can hear a click from fuse box). Turn it off, on again and after 3/4 attempts it starts normally, first turn...

    Cuppy Time

No real plans at the moment, won't be on the road until March. Time to get it stripped down and checked out. Probably put a standard/stealth exhaust on, get some track wheels, service done and a few bits and pieces. Nothing wild. Pretty boring really :)

    Cuppy Time

I've wondered this. Think it's had non standard suspension bits replaced which would be a touch annoying, but not the end of the world at the price. Will get under tomorrow and have a look. The exhaust does look fairly comedy but sounds good. I like the standard look, so will prob just take...

    Cuppy Time

Having been a CS member for over five years, I thought it was about time I picked up an RS. My little 1.2 was a pig and I vowed never to own another Clio again - but hopefully that's the end of the problems. Had a Mondeo TDCi in the interim, that I used to tow the XR2, great big comfy barge...

Re: MX-5 at Oulton Park (Trackday, quite a lot of sideways action, then some dry laps Some great driving and a load of fun - but remember hands at quarter to three all the time, no leg resting ;)
