ok. ill have to get it booked in and looked at.
switch was replaced because I started getting that problem where you put your foot on the brakes and the car slows before the brake lights come on. nearly got done by the fuzz cause they thought I was late breaking coming upto a sharp corner.
While we're on the subject of "bird strikes" i've a story you might find quite funny... Well, if you're a sick twisted kinda individual (like me!)
I was talking to a friend of mine who had just finished his training as a commercial piolet for BA, and was asking how they train for bird strikes...
Lol! I've had a couple of "bird strikes" myself - all down the same lane where I drive to work. First was a poor little sparrow that managed to go through the honey-come on the front of the car, and stuck to the rad! Was crispy when I managed to finally get it off - had to disamantle the entire...
Yup. It has to be white on front and yellow on back unless it's a vintage car (1960s or earlier I think) and then they can get away with it black iirm (as in black with white writing). Check it out on the DVLA website for all the details.
yeah you would. Police are really picky about the number plates. Have a look on the DVLA website. In England you have to have a white plate on the front and a yellow one on the rear - it's in the highway code, so yeah, it's the law.
I was driving home at lunchtime today and I had my "Serv", ABS & Traction control lights come on. I've had it happen a few times - I switch the ignition off and back on and the lights go off. Anyone come across this one before?
I've checked my brake-fluid level (thought that was Serv & (!) for...
I got one of the Sony USB HU, (all be it with the USB on the front). The main reason for going for that one in particular was cause I wanted to keep existing steering wheel control. £120 for HU & £60 for interface so I could keep info display and hand controls. I'd never go back to the standard...
My parents have a Kia Sorento (one of the big four-by-fours). I tell you what, for your money you don't half get a lot of toys. Build quality is great. I just find it lacks "soul" like other car makers do, but then you can say the same of all the Asian cars - they feel mass produced and lack...
Hi ben_p
Using it for the ultimate build?
I've seen them used before - seem to do a really good job. Ever seen "a car is born" on the TV? He used one on there as well.
i'm 25 and every year i have a laugh come insurance time. i'm with elephant and paid £800 this year (only 2 years no claims - Astra through hedge incident...). I had a quote for £3500! And I live in a safe area!
That one in particular? erm, well getting rid that annoying fence post in the foreground for a start, and maybe sorting the contrast out on the pic - the blacks look a little grey.
That was just an example of what I had, but I've loads of others, just not on my work PC.
I'm running on 16s on my 182 at the moment, but apparently if you're after a better handling car, then 15s are the way forward. If you're after looks, 17s will give the best, but will be crashy as hell on all the bumps. 16s is a comprimise of the two.
Just gonna throw a spanner in the works.
1*2s are classed as "warm hatches" as they don't have the same power as some of the bigger cars (This is not my view, but hey). Focus, Golf, Meggy are your "hot" hatches.
Just thought I'd post this for everyone. Plenty more where that came from - just gotta transfer them to my PC!

You can, and truthfully, in a crash, its your chassis that takes most of the impact, so yeah, you can replace them. Think of all them cars that are just fibreglass? (Corvette for example).
That's nothing! Local stealer in Tamworth quoted me £320 for rear discs and bearings! I politly told him I'll go elsewhere and got a full set of performance discs and pads, front and rear for £220! And then I found out that there was nothing wrong with the existing set!
I'd complain to the...
Is locking nuts a bit like twisted testicle? :S
Sorry - still only one coffee in the system - my sense of humour hasn't woken up fully yet.
I bought my 182 second hand and it had two locking nut-keys in with it. Both now don't work with my nut. I think I read something about that Renault use...
Ok... So what we're saying here is, if I can "aquire" a copy of Photoshop, that'll be awesome.
Ok, choice made....
I thought I'd add a quick pic of the Clio Cup racing from Thruxton - got loads more at home, but only the one on work PC.
It's a lot bigger than this, but had to shrink it to get...
