It had a full nut and bolt rebuild last year as it was a basket case when it entered the uk. We spent many hours taking many layers of u.s paint off it! Lol Nic says if he doesn't sell it he will put it on the road............and he isn't joking. It's not my cup of tea compared to his previouse...
I'm not a fan of the R35 and never will be regardless of how many ponies one can throw out or how fast it can lap Germans finest toll road. However, as a engineering feat, it's a marvel and I salute it. Any car that can do a 7 second quarter mile using original(ish) road going parts is a...
How did I miss this thread??! Love retro beemers and this ones a cracker. Some good work has gone into it too by the looks of it. Only thing I'd say is stick to BMW period tuning parts. If your considering split rims have you looked on racecarsdirect.com? Theres usually a good selection of...
Aaah brilliant. Bet that's a right laugh sitting next to the typical yuppies on the road. I would love to fit a B16A2 to my Mk1 mini miglia but can't bring myself to do it unless it was using an Allspeed subframe. The Metty is probably a great place to start with I guess? What with jeff watson...
This is utter bullsh1t. I recently bought a house out of town and have since realised that a lot of farm machinery uses our street as a cut through for the nearby feilds. In the summer and warmer months this increases hugely especially during harvest season. Although it irritates me it is part...
Awesome setup fella and about the perfect output to make it an utter weapon. What sort of weight is this car? Turbocharging a mini like this would be great on paper but s**t elsewhere regardless of what control you have on the engine. Mine was running a 16v A series turbo and it was s**t it all...
I remember seeing a video of some fella sliding a Rolls' around not to long ago. Well this is even more brutal!!

This is Stevo's off of v6clio.net. His car, my car and Bill Patchalls car (the yellow one) were all painted with in a few weeks of each other by a couple of guys in Birmingham. Stevo's car is actually a perfect replica of the Catalunya Trophy car and fitted with genuine cromodora magnesium...
Yeah must admit its been abit of a calculated risk. However, I bought the car a few years back to enjoy and drive. Turns out I've probably rebuilt most parts on it so I can't see me getting rid of soon. It wont be audi powered forever and im 100% sure it will be refitted with a renault engine at...

Time for a little Audi gearbox.....
First of all, we hauled the 01e gearbox into the car so we could see whats what. It was then a case of making decisions of what needs what doing to get the the transaxle as far back as possible. Initial signs were...
That'll be a snug fit with the v6 and sadev. I'm playing with only a couple of cm fitting my lump the same way in my vee. I should imagine they will use a four pot turbo but ............ yawn! Would be great to see another bonkers car though.
Ha! Definatly wasn't mine as its not running yet. Would be gutted to see another Nocturn. Still, I think its time for another colour change anyway! Lol
All French sh1t aside that is a pretty epic little car and sounds beautiful. Much like an 80's f1 car in fact. I just wish wrc rules allowed such diverse cars to be entered. I'm bored s**tless of seeing citeroens and the like now.
Doesn't matter what anyone says to me, the pikes peak Quattro...
In a way yes but there was no rear prop to begin with. The gearbox I'm using is a fwd 01E which is very similar to the Quattro but has no Torsen center diff. Welding/locking that up turns out to be a weakness after a while so I hunted down a VW Passat high torque version. Hopefully this should...
This is true but like I always say, the car only has as much power as your right foot allows. It will with out doubt have more than enough power but the main aim was always to get the weight distribution much better than any transverse engine setup will allow. Fingers crossed it'll be a balanced...
Quick small update before the car goes into the shop next week.
This is the box as I bought it a few months back. Following a good going over, it was time to clean it up good and proper. It was probably clean enough to stick straight in to most, well used engine bays but I have the option of...
Well the gearbox has just had a good going over and seems to be in great condition. As a matter of course I've had the output bearings replaced so I don't need to worry at abusing it. Unfortunatly I was planning on fitting a Porsche 968 lsd but couldn't find a good one in time. I'll have to make...
Its easy power but I still reckon the old engine has as much to offer once a turbo/s have been fitted. Its always been the gearbox that held it back in my opinion. Eventually I will revert back to the reno lump I'm sure as I'm sure gunna miss the sound of it.
