Exactly, its not gonna cost us £150 in petrol to get up there lol However the guy I spoke to said he'd need the car for around 3 days, so I'd need a hire car for work, meaning it's not gonna be cheap :(
Ideally I need somewhere that could do it in a day, booked in, who guarantee an identical...
Chaps,
Just got a quote from a sprayers/body repair in Wilby for £300 to colour code my 1.6.
That quote was for full primering + coating + finish + whatever else he said in paint language, for the black part on my rear dynamique bumper, black section on the front bumper [The number plate...
lol must have different tastes mate, not keen on that tbh, but with Turini's it would look neat :)
Only wanna lower 45mm, the pic in real life would be around 70mm wouldn't it!? Bit extreme lol
Colour coded front bumper and 172 rear bumper would complete the look I reckon?
Ta,
Pete.
Guys,
Few mod's planned soon, just want a virtual preview which would pretty much decide it :)
First thing is Colour coded Door strips + Front bumper, + Spoiler
Also fancy a rear 172 bumper with the arches.
Silver Tuirini's where the wheels are concerned :)
Lowered 45mm too please if your...
Your reet, it's depreciated a lot since I last did a value check which was when I had just bought it :(
Do the mod plans sound reasonable?
Good £900's worth there though I would imagine, if not more :(
In my defence, at least the Sport badge is in the right place, I blame the previous owner...
Ello mate,
What adaptor is that your using so it displays in the Top Clock LED in relation to your head unit too [Where it says Evanescence] ?
Are these globally available for most head units?
Smart though :)
Thanks,
Pete.
All you Northants Dudes...
Where do you take your Va Va's in the area if you don't mind me asking for mechanical work and servicing?
Done nearly 28k now, due another oil change very soon which I'll do myself, but for everything else, where do you take your cars barring Camden Renault which I...
Well...
I thought 83 posts later, I'd introduce myself + the Clio :rasp: :approve:
This is my 2003 plate 1.6 16v Dynamique. Is my second car after an eventful, yet sh1tley beloved Punto 1.1, so feels like a huge step up, which imo, it is :p
Next car will either be a Black 182 FF... Which is...
Guys,
Sat Nav - What do you use and how do you find it?
Borrowed one of the managers' TomTom 300 and it was obsessed with M1/M25 despite me routing via alternate routes like the A1 and M11 which suited me better, especially with the 40 limits and roadworks on the M1 recently.
Is there one...
Cool, so ill only need to pull the head unit out and rearrange the wires behind, nothing plugs in anywhere else other than the back of the unit itself reet?
Thanks chaps.
Thanks for that bud :)
How easy, baring in mind i'm a complete novice? I thought all the head unit wiring was down near the bonnet lever under the carpet, or am I mistaken?
£37 is a good price I guess.
Cheers,
Pete.
Guys,
Been quoted around £60 for this part plus fitting by a CarAudio place in Kettering, Northants.
It's basically the steering control adaptor for the A'n 9845-RB Head Unit.
Is that price about right?
Does anyone have it installed, and how good?
Thanks,
Pete
Hi Guys,
Sorry if a repost. Did search for it or similar.

Are they RS4 Rims on a 1.6 Dyna :S?
Look quite smart tbh. Didn't think VW rims were firstly 4 spoke, and also that bolts to fit them are available?
Thanks,
Pete.
You've got a fair few points there.
I don't know whether I'm lucky but im 19 with 1 NCB and pay sub £1000 on my 1.6, and it really does feel nippy. Would be my choice out the two, however it depends if you've got the cash to pay for the extra speed or would rather conserve pennies.
Cheers,
Pete.
Yeah, you'll get about as good a S2000 as you will a TT for 12k, both not A1 I wouldn't have thought at all. A decent 540i/330 probably exceeds that.
Whats wrong with your 182?! :p :( Give it to me :D ;)
I don't think he could go too wrong with an S2000.
I would imagine the only downside is the MPG.
Everything else is going to be practical and stylish...?
Ideally I'll get a 182 next then progress up to one myself. :p
Haha, good mate, im pleased for you.
You should have shat on his bonnet too.
If I ever cut people up [not that I aim too...] or not wave to people who wait/let me past, I always make sure it's either a taxi, white van or a saxo ;)
The taxi's round here drive like real, real see you next...
When you take pics of a horrific bit of work like that, dont you always get worried the owners gonna come running up saying "Alright mate, hows it goin mate you think its sick mate yeah? I've done this.... and that..... and also modded the......."
That, or have my phone/digital camera snatched...
Thats useful, cheers bud.
I've got 4 things planned, ill do a thread tomorrow mentioning them when I upload pics.
Were there other things you didn't declare though?
