Bodykit costs around £500 + painting & fitting. It consists of front and rear lower spoiler and side skirts. Just wondered if I lowered it 60mm would I have problems hitting the ground?

Has anyone lowered their 1.2 16v 2001+ Clio with bodykit on their car? I have the full Renault bodykit and the front spoiler is pretty low to the ground and just wondered how low I could take the car before I start getting problems with the spoiler hitting the ground? 35mm or 60mm? Cheers

Can anyone tell me if there is anywhere that does a tailpipe trim for the 2001 shape clio? I ordered one from esp design but it involves cutting the original tail pipe which kinda defeats the purpose. I dont want to modify the car to invalidate the warranty. Cheers

I have the opposite problem. My lights on dipped beam are too low. Can they be adjusted on a 2002 clio 1.2 16v without a mechanics help? I have adjusted the internal switch to its highest setting.

According to my Renault dealer, MK2 172 ones do! Most of them are muppets though! So they are a straight fit i.e. no drilling then?

OK, spoken to my local Renault dealer and they say that the metal pedals cost £80+VAT+FITTING. Can anyone with a MK2 172 post some pics of their pedals so i can work out how they fit on. Do i need to drill through pedals? Cheers

172 ones are mega expensive nosh (around £100ish for a pair). I know cos I bought them with a voucher I had from Renault!

I am only after the tailpipe, not the full system. Nobody got any ideas where I can get this part? Been on to a couple of dealers and they say this part is for the pre facelift clio but the website says otherwise????

CraigM, is it easy to get in at the screws on the door pillar to release the inside of the connector block? Does anyone know what goes on with the wiring of the tweeters and the woofers? They should go through some sort of crossover shouldnt they?

Cheers for the suggestions. Think to run new speaker wire into the doors will be too tricky. My Speakers are rated at 70W RMS so I hope that the original wiring is good enough to cope. Still confused as to why the wire colour changes at the door pillar but hey, its a French car! Cheers

£12500 for brand new UK supplied. Sound pretty good?

The quote was against an iceberg silver 172 at £12500. Sounds pretty good but was really hoping for nearer the £7000 mark. I know the bodykit doesnt add any value to the car but it does make it easier to sell on and more attractive. Cheers for the thoughts though.

I have been given a part exchange quote of £6000 for a 9 month old 52 plate 1.2 16v Extreme with 9000 miles on the clock. The car has the full Renault bodykit and painted spoiler. What do you guys think of this? Cheers

Just found the problem. For anyone who has had the same problem, check you have shut all doors and the boot!!! Doh!
