LOL at the Warm/Hot Hatch ST chatter AGAIN! Never gets old eh Gally?! ;)
Lovely cars, still elements of mine that I miss - chuckability & grip being the main ones. Get it dropped on some coilies though!
p.s. Re the orange peal - that's pretty much the Ford standard, mine was the same...

Gliding - Southport Airshow 2011 by d35ign, on Flickr
Why do I think it's minimal? Depends really - there's the obvious reason that there's not a whole lot going on in the photo (debatable I know!) but I think it works too as both the glider and the...
Really nice pics! I went to the Southport one on Saturday, was a great show and the weather was good too for a change. Loved the Vulcan and the old school Lancaster Bombers & Spitfires.

I'm still trying to find the answer to this Q if anybody can help?
I've got an old Mac Mini which isn't Lion compatible but a 2010 MBP which I was hoping to put Lion on to. My problem is that my iTunes library is stored on a NAS drive. If I open this on Lion will it still be backwards compatible...
Some crackers in here already.
I'll have to dig my rig out - I need some ND filters though to give me more options with some proper daytime shots.
One of my own from a while ago...

Easiest way that gives you a lot of freedom is set up a flavors.me account.
It pulls content from loads of social sites (your twitter, facebook etc) and will load blog content too should you want to start a blog (tumblr, wordpress, blogger etc).
But it also loads photos from flickr too - so you...
Very cool photos - awesome lighting.
Agree with the comments on the watermark though - even a middle ground somewhere i.e. just the 2 in yellow? - would be better and more subtle.
Really nice shots Dan.
I had a job similar to this - although not Mac's unfortunately - they assured me they had a booth set up on site. Turns out this booth was a 2 desk lamps and some bits of A3 white card.
That was a difficult shoot.
They were more than happy with the results though and...
I would probably still suggest Wordpress tbh. There's loads of themes very similar to Dan's - you can add as many text pages as you like.
Another consideration could be SmugMug - http://www.smugmug.com/ - they offer the buy prints service built-in, which would take a little more fiddling to add...
Really cool shots - really like the 'marmite' shot, although as mentioned it would have been even better had the whole of the car been visible.
What lens were these taken with? I can see from the EXIF it must've been quite long i.e. 70-300?
The build quality of the 35mm is said to be better than the 50mm, plus with a crop sensor (your d5000) it's actually more like a 50mm.
I love mine - it's fast, focus is bang on, build quality is spot-on, lovely smooth bokeh, great for portraits - plus hook it up to some extension tubes and it's...
You could just set up a flavors.me site.
Seems to do everything you're looking for - all the social networking bits are built in. Looks good too. You can set up custom domains too, but then you have to go premium. Something like $20 for the year.
Link.
I went on Sunday, it was great! I couldn't understand why most people brought their camera gear with them though? I couldn't be bothered hogging mine around - the place was busy enough!
I did manage to pick up a D7000 for the bargain price of £699 though! Couldn't believe it! There was a place...
Seeing as we're pic wh0ring desktops at the mo, this is mine on my mini - basically a media center.

You could look at extension tubes to use with the 50mm too. At least you keep the AF then & get a little more versatility than with the reverser ring.
Cheaper alternative to a dedicated Macro lens - although I have to disagree with Macro being a gimmick!
I'll have a go...
6 / 52 - The Double Whammy! by d35ign, on Flickr
The '2' comes from the fact I combined two Flickr favourites - a splash and some bokeh! :)
I'd have probably agreed with you before I got one! ;)
Yeah I know what you mean, not many hatches can pull off the look of 19's without looking roller skate like. I think the FN2 does though, especially when I see one on the standard wheels.
Ask me again when I need new tyres though - that...
