This is a possibiltity, it is worth checking around the earthing point to check that there is no signs of corrosion, as that can aslo be an issue.
One other thing it might be is the charge pack, if this is, it can be quite costly, and therefore the dealership may play hard to get. I would ask...
Do a search on the forum, there is a full post about how to claim under the warrenty.
You will have a fight on your hands but the post tells you what you need to do.
TBH with you they are no better than the standard pads that you have on the car already. If you wanted a better pad you are better off looking at eaither the Greenstuff/Redstuff, or go down the route of looking at Mintex Extreme, Ferodo those sort of options.
I have used what EBC call...
I am not saying bolting one down is a problem, but the only way you will get the full benefit of a strut brace is to weld it to the struts, as it will then become part of the structure around the front of the car.
Bolting it into place will work but you will still have stresses around where...
The only real way you will get any benefit by having a front strut brace fitted, is not by bolting it in it is by welding it in to place. Look at all the major race series and you will see that the strut braces are part of the chasis and therefore will work with the car as apposed to just...
I have to agree with Lee, driving on bad roads gets very tiresome, you feel every little imperfection of the road.
Took mine over to the Isle of Wight last week end, and on the journey down to Southampton the car was great, i loved every minute of the motorway (normally i cant stand them). As...
LOL thats the benefit of having a Trophy, sits just right, not to low and not too high in my opion. Even though alot of the guys on here think it looks like a tractor. (Think its just because they are jelous LOL)
I have two words to say to you Fred.
YOU NUTTER
I take it you have shares in Michelin, since buying the Vee, your going to need to the way you are getting through the black stuff. LOL
Just a quick word on the B&M, when fitted you will find that the gear lever sits a hell of alot lower and can become a bit of a problem when changing as you have to reach for it.
BB Tuning do a quickshift which sits the same height as the standard gear lever but has a reuduced throw as the...
I spoke to a company the other week regarding the plastic film that you can put on the car, They are based in Essex, at present they have never done a Clio, but have told me that if i am willing to leave the car with them for a day or so, they will measure it all up and fit it. They will only...
NOOOOO not another one.
Direct Line were happy to insure me for the six months before my policy expired. When i phoned to change my insurance details, i told them at least 10 times that it was a Trophy and I was assured that it put onto the details.
Came to renew this year and was told that...
Most coilcover kits which i sell, come with a disclaimer that you may need to put spacers on so as to allow full movement on the wheels.
TBH with you, you will only need at max a 5mm spacer, which wont cause any major problems. If you have a look at where they are catching and measure the...
HUM!!!!!! Know I am well and truley confussed.
I think i may just go down the route of switching pads, and discs to start of with.
It is very intresting what has been said, and its great to read the the arguments for and against 4 pots.
FRED do you fancy giving me some driving lesson...
Fred
The reason why i am looking to upgrade is the fact that i am getting really bad brake fade, pretty much all the time.
First step is to get the braided lines, but i will need a new set of discs in the next few months, as the ones on the car know after 14k have quite a noticable lip on them.
Had an intresting conversation on Sat with BB Tuning.
They said that the Billett 4 kit from Hi-Spec actually uses a smaller pad than the standard brake set up, and adviced me to go for something like the Monster 4.
Only thing is i dont know if the Monster 4 will fit behind the wheel now:S...
Yeah i was meant to get there for 9.30 but got up late, LOL
It great to have a bunch of guys that you can trust that are close.
FRED you need to move to Essex that way i can chuck my buisness over to you.;)
If you turn the ignition on and off three times, get out of the car and lock it normally, it will disable the interior sensors. It called a valet mode. I always do this when filling the car up as the alarm seems to go off if i dont.
Plus you can leave the windows open on hot days like...
Just like to say that i just had a very good experience today.Decided instead of letting the muppets at the dealership service the car, to take it to a bunch of guys that know every nut and bolt thats fitted to my car.Took it in this morning for the 12k service, and it was sorted while i was...
