    Thats partly the reason i want to find out which is the best made kit out there. from looking at the specs between Hispec and Brembo, they use a similar grade of Aluminium, and both are CNC machined as apposed to cast like a couple of other kits i have seen.

    Fred whats the reason for sticking with the 280mm discs, looking at the prices for replacement the 285mm work out about £15 cheaper. Just thinking that in the long run, what with replacing seals, pads and discs, it will start to add up.

    The Hispec are actually Billet and not cast. That was partly the reason that i was looking at them and the Brembo, as they are made from the same material, to the same standards, it is just the internals that differ slightly.

    yeah it will that is just so you know the immobilsor has set itself. if it was a fault with the immobilsor you wouldnt be able to start the car, all that would happen is the car would turn over and not start.

    When i owned my 1.4 dynamic i has this problem, when it was taken into Renault, it was down to a faulty Ignition coil. Extremley common fault and one that Renault will put right without any major fuss. (As long as the car is still in Warrenty)
