Totally shocking price for a golf. Seriously if anyone actually spends more than 20k on a golf they need their head reading. Leasing is the way forward with cars like this.

I like the golf but the 996 looks nearly done.I dont know nor can i pinpoint whats missing but i bet its lovely to drive.

Im not too sure what you get in the old type r as standard but in the new one its auto lights,wipers dual climate and all the toys you would get in a 182 ff but just done better.As you agree the interior is brill but the engine is the same.Ill try to find a pic of mine out for you.

I can vouch for the fn2 being a nice car.Its a little more grown up with dual climate and the likes as standard on the GT model.The interior is still awsome and by no means dated yet.You already know the engine but the vtec kicks in a little earlier on this version. Ive had mine over 2 years...

Its a great car to own that most wouldnt dare try.A bit like a 6.0 monaro maybe,they are a great performance bargain but there isnt one on here i dont think. The budget for the car is what most people pay for a 1 yr old megane or 200 but people are frightened of running a car like this.

I enjoy the attention to detail and some of the looks are ok,but its all the same as it was 5 years ago. There's just nothing new tbh.

Great car and what a great map. But im shocked you manage 25mpg round town with 500bhp when the 300bhp one has trouble with it reaching that.
