Had a K&N 57i gen 2 induction kit on my 1.2l 16v clio, check my thread for pictures (click link on the left hand side where it says my car), passed emissions test on the mot fine, gives a nice growl between 1500-3500 revs...
Killed my mpg hence i removed it and sold to a fellow CS member...
I've got the sport interior in my 1.2 16v, I think I am the only person who didn't have any trouble in fitting the front/rear seats and door cars lol - had the old interior stripped out adn new interior fitted in around 2 hours.
Your car will look 10x better once colour coded, I've always...
check out my thread buddy for some ideas, pages 5-7 are most recent updates. I also have a silver 1.2L 16v. i recently removed my K&N induction kit - i've noticed a significant increase in my MPG...

Gave her a quick wash & wax & polish with autoglym's finest.
Really impressed with the autoglym aqua wax, minimal effort and gives some nice beading in the rain :-)
You've ruined your car with the fk's IMO. Such a lovely example of a non sport, always liked your project. Personally I'd sell them on and be glad you took them off.
All IMO ofcourse :-)
I'm prepared to travel to get the right 172 for the right price, really leaning towards the idea of a 21st treat! Deffinately go for a change of colour though
the way i see it is its a couple hundred quid i could put towards and RS... insurance is reasonable on a sport to, 172 with suspension and exhaust modificationsis coming in at £900 for me fully comp
172 rear bumper is on it's way up from Devon with my grandad on the 14th July.
However I now have the dilemma of whether to fit it and get a colour code - or wait till my 21st in September and treat myself to an RS...
Welcome.
Where abouts in south east are you buddy? Im in belvedere, near dartford.
There's quite a few of us from round Kent/Essex that meet up regularly, next meet is at Southend on 03/08.
Get down to the local meeting section and join the south east threads :-)
Here's my project thread...
That's pretty steep :O!
The rears are easy as they are separate to the dampeners, it's the fronts that are a Cnut, my top mount bolts were completely seized so a garage trip was inevitable.
There's a really good guide, just google "how to fit lowering springs on a clio" in google - can't...
You jammy git - I never thought you'd go through with it and buy a jap!
I say you attempt a rep of brians R34, get a sick respray and vinyl y0! Then change your username to o'connor...
FLOL. Ill be keeping an eye on the progress buddy. What made you buy black?
Jacked the car up and used Self tappers, had a pal work ahead of me and hold the splitter in position whilst I drove self tappers in. Used about 15/16 tappers lol.
Didn't even need to take the bumper off, sits flush :-)
Will quite happily meet at the dick Turpin, I finish work at half five so depending on timing ill be there. Be nice for a load of clio's to convoy down the strip :-)
