Also surely if that was on it's way out the temp guage would freak out, it's pretty normal readings to be honest. Tell you exactly what it feels like, you know when your about to run out of petrol and the revs die and the car sort of engine brakes, well like that. Fuel is fine.

I dont carry my spare, ever since the ghey MK1 holder bolt snapped under the car. My breakdown car and mobile phone is all I need, not the most sensible thing I know but if I did get a puncture I very much doubt I could have removed the spare anyway.
