cool (sorry i didnt mean that), the orange coolant would hide the fact that my rusty coolant has spilled all over the place in my engine bay. What make is it?
Ask Nick R. Apparently if you open up the bonnet and the gearbox isnt where its supposed to be, then its probably stuffed. Im a bit worried about mine at the moment, i double de-clutch, but im still getting nasty changes.

Cheers Nick, will do.
Its a bit of a b**ch about the reserve tank. If you ran out of fuel and went all the way to a garage with one of those little 5 litre canisters, you would get back to your car and fill it only to find the tank still empty

Horace, thats not going to happen.:D, when i first got the car i was only getting 180 miles out of a tank.
Jeff, i dont think its bad for the car (exept all that loss of performance from the extra weight;)). Its just hassle cos i do alot of miles and i dont want to be filling up all the time...

The thing is i dont think ive been getting anywhere near the bottome of the tank (check another topic called "ever run out of petrol?")
Cheers for the advice anyway, if it carries on then ill change all the filters and stuff, i just hope its not serious.
Over the last few days my cars been juddering and misfiring when its below 3000rpm. At first it just felt like a flat spot in 5th at around 2500, but this morning it would not drive smoothly at any throttle position below 3000rpm in any gear.:(
The fuel was low (ish, see separate string) so...
O.K i had the fuel light come on last night as i got home, having driven for ages with the needle one notch off empty. I drove for twenty miles this morning before filling it up and could still only put 35 litres in it!
Im not sure if i like the idea of just guessing when im going to run out...

I think you need to make sure they dont do it again. I know theyre only young, but they could do with learning a grown up lesson.
Beat the crap out of them with a baseball bat and leave them lying in a pool of their own brains

In the old days of GT racing, eight litre plus engines were not uncommon (old mark donahue days, like the porsches and that stuff), even now, the mclaren is nearly 7 litres isnt it? or six and a bit or something. I think the weight becomes the limiting factor, i remember reading somewhere that...
