Passed me about 8 am this morning heading toward Coventry/Kennilworth from the A46.
Flashed lights at me comming the opposite way in a mk1 16v in monaco blue with gold willy wheels.
:)
Okay little update:
Had to weld a new flange on the downpipe as old one was shot and was blowing like a c**t
I bought Zmasters group a scuttle induction to fit, but its being used to make molds from atm for the group buy, but today my battery in teh boot kit turned up so I set about...
You would never sell that, your completely in love with it :P "if it got 50mpg id use it everyday" ring a bell? ;)
Couldn't afford it anyway bud especially considering if things go well with barclays its a sept 14 start.
I wonder if I could get cruise control to work in a mk1 :)
Yeah I would like to still keep my power steering, although do some of them have electric steering?? I know some of the 2005 scenic's did? I was going to pinch the hubs and brake setups anyway (pressing in the valver hub carrier or whatever it is called). Where all mk2's cable clutch?
I want...
yeah as in a clio 172 cup the road car :) Im just thinking realistically is it plausable, I may as well buy a whole car for when I come to do the conversion and iirc the cup doesnt have aircon or anything so it save me having to remove all that to put it in the mk1? :)
Yeah I mean F4R, and yes chip I would be looking to use the 172 ph2 loom both interior and engine and the ecu (after decoding ofc) untill I can afford standalone :)x
Yeah I know all about the F7R northy is selling, I got all the parts to re-build my car from him, infact that engine and the...
Hey Guys,
Looking around for an f4r for my mk1 valver, came across a 172 cup engine.
I started thinking about the flyby wire system they have on these cars instead of the throttle cable - is it possible to fit the 172 pedal box to my mk1?
In doing this and putting in the interior loom and...
Does it use mk2 boxes or has it been upgraded to the mk3 boxes?
If it uses mk3 boxes then it could be very interesting to see how they've fitted it to a mk2
Perfect, exactly the info I wanted mate thank you.
If I decide to run mk2 clock does this mean that I can use any of the 172 engines instead of being limited to the ph1?
Can I ask about fitting the mk2 stuff to the doors and the interior looms.
Im interested in doing an f4r conversion myself and think it would be a better idea just to replace the interior looms like I believe you have.
I want all the central locking etc to work so could you just let me know...
Okay so got the car back on the road :D
was thursday and while I waited for my rod ends to turn up I thought I had better rebuild the rest of the car :)
Spent an hour on it and got the following re-fitted:
Heat shield
Bumper
Coilover
Hub
Went to uni and got back there was one of those "we...
Ahhh I see,
going back to the mounts, you made a strong metal piece to bolt to the car and then another one to bolt to the box and put the land rover rubber in the middle to join them???
Sounds simple enough!?
