I agree. If your Hu is kicking out 45w I think the basic Clio spkrs are 15w and the uprated ones you can get from factory are 25w. Aftermarkets dont need to break the bank but if you havent already change the fronts at the same time. [Edited by dangermouse_se on 23 June 2004 at 11:21pm]

Yeah, I try to keep the system as invisible as possible. Not sure that speaker theft is all that common but it gives it away that you have a good HU, probably an amp and a changer etc...

Fixx is right. Most head units these days come with ISO connectors. The other half of which will be in your car. The only adaptor you need is stalk / display re my previous message.

Yes you can, actually the adaptors for the HUD and stalk plug straight in too, (I think you used to have to take the dash top off?). If you just want to fit the Head Unit its two plugs (one for all the power and earth connections) and the other is for speakers. There will be a spare yellow plug...

I went for a Sony cos they can use the HUD in the top of the dash too. See my post re the Connects2 adaptor. Just ordered a CDX-F7700, should be sweet. Was 212.00 on the net, over 300 at Halfords! The CDX-F5700 looks nice and you can get them for about 150.00.

They are dead easy. You just connect the adaptor between the set and the cables you disconnect from the factory head unit.

Just had a look on eBay. They are USA spec units so you may not get radio reception in FM over here. Also there is import duty on electrical/electronic items (about 45 quid) which isnt mentioned because HM Customs will bill you! Not to mention the 35.00 delivery charge and 5.00 insurance..so...

Sounds cheap, the cheapest I found from an internet dealer was 211 delivered. Not seen the 7705 at all...
