What happened when you turned the key to start it? Nothing at all, or did it turn over really quickly? Don't try it again just in case it is the belt, you don't want to do more damage!
Could be all sorts of things.
You could start by randomly replacing things until you find the right one, but my advice would be to get it to someone with CLIP an hour of labour to find the fault will save you money.
It isn't a pre-wash, it's wash and post-wash in one.
All I will be doing is a quick blast with the pressure washer to get the majority of dirt off. Apply Hydrofoam a side/panel at a time. Agitate hydrofoam with washmitt and rinse.
Should mean a very quick wash and semi-protect. It was also...
Silica gel based stuff.
I've used that for drying out fogged up headlights before. Works a treat! Pets at home have their own brand stuff, fiver a bag.
Seems pretty normal at this time of year to get steamed up windows - no?
I know every car I've owned has had steamed up windows in the mornings in Autumn/winter, never thought of it as a problem. 30 seconds with the climate control on (it's always on anyway) and all is good.
RCS have them at £660 for the gearbox, then you are looking at about what Dan has said for fitting. You really should factor in the cost of a new clutch and slave cylinder too.

99.9% of the population won't
a) notice.
or
b) give a s**t.
Just go with whichever you like best. Personally I prefer the left option, but only because it looks 'cleaner'.
Oh - quick repair update.
The boot lid stopped opening last Thursday evening (I was in the supermarket car park at the time, ended up having to squeeze the pushchair onto the back seat!). Decided to take a look on Saturday morning. Using VIDA I checked the switch was working - it was, next I...
@Dr Jekyll I have changed it and theirs no need to disconnect the battery mate. It's inside the car, you get to it from the passenger side footwell.
I'll get you a picture if you need one?
Not sure if serious?
As soon as you jack the other side it will put the first rear wheel back on the ground. Most cars do this if you jack them high enough. Hell - even my Volvo does it!
2 jack/axle stands is all you need.
It really needs diagnosing by someone with CLIP. General code readers aren't accurate enough to isolate the problem. It does sound like you have an issue with power to the VVT solenoid, however tracing that fault is going to be hard without the correct tools for the job. If theirs no power going...
Would there be any interest in a dyno day? We've used Dynotech in Ripley a few times and it's over a year since the last one (I think?)
Happy to go elsewhere if folk would prefer, I just like using them as that's the only place my car has been dyno'd so I trust the figures (well I trust the...
How do you know the springs and shocks are ok?
I had a knock from the front of my car recently, turned out to be my brand new Koni shock absorber and couldn't tell without removing it and wobbling the shaft (lol) I had very similar symptoms to what you are describing.
Does the account not show anywhere on the phone? If I go into iCloud for instance it tells me which account I'm logged in with, same with iTunes and App store. Failing that, has it ever been synced with a PC? The PC may still hold the Apple ID details in Itunes.
Just go through the reset process for the apple ID?

Without getting the apple ID I don't think you will ever get round this. It was something apple introduced a couple of years ago.
