Take it back to Renault?

What happened when you turned the key to start it? Nothing at all, or did it turn over really quickly? Don't try it again just in case it is the belt, you don't want to do more damage!

Timing belt tensioner perhaps, or the aux belt. Did the AA guy not take a look? Can you see anything obvious under the bonnet?

Turn off portrait lock, see if the issue goes away. I can only replicate the issue with portrait lock turned on. Turn it off and error goes away.

Going crazy how? When you first reset it, it will fluctuate quite a lot. It'll take a good few miles for it to stabilise.

100% it's the orientation lock. I've never had the issue before but have just managed to replicate simply by turning on portrait lock.

Could be all sorts of things. You could start by randomly replacing things until you find the right one, but my advice would be to get it to someone with CLIP an hour of labour to find the fault will save you money.

Silica gel based stuff. I've used that for drying out fogged up headlights before. Works a treat! Pets at home have their own brand stuff, fiver a bag.

Seems pretty normal at this time of year to get steamed up windows - no? I know every car I've owned has had steamed up windows in the mornings in Autumn/winter, never thought of it as a problem. 30 seconds with the climate control on (it's always on anyway) and all is good.

Not sure if serious? As soon as you jack the other side it will put the first rear wheel back on the ground. Most cars do this if you jack them high enough. Hell - even my Volvo does it! 2 jack/axle stands is all you need.

It really needs diagnosing by someone with CLIP. General code readers aren't accurate enough to isolate the problem. It does sound like you have an issue with power to the VVT solenoid, however tracing that fault is going to be hard without the correct tools for the job. If theirs no power going...

Auto trader has it down as a Cat C, not D as the advert says. Also, a reg check comes back with the registration date as 20/05/2009 which seems odd.

What makes you say that? The reg on the car in the pics is MX57 ZDZ, which would fit with the year etc.

Does the account not show anywhere on the phone? If I go into iCloud for instance it tells me which account I'm logged in with, same with iTunes and App store. Failing that, has it ever been synced with a PC? The PC may still hold the Apple ID details in Itunes.
