But people on here slate cheap cars saying it will have this problem and that problem. You always seem to have some sort of chip on your shoulder. Like to argue with everyone over the keyboard dont you.
Oh and service history seems to be a major factor lol obviously people dont know about cars...
Definatly mate, i guess trading in your old car kills 2 birds with 1 stone so it makes your life easier but if it is a shed i highly advise you to just get a train or road trip with a mate to see a 182 off here as you know it will be a looked after example for the same price if not less.
Also...
Its a beaut! Just a shame no1 has money these days.
If you could afford to keep it i'd say do that mate, you dont get many clio turbos knocking about as it is. Thats what makes it that more special from the rest. Also has sat nav :rasp:
Make sure it goes in gear properly 1st time, picks up speed well. just general bits like hearing no knocks etc, also read that flooring it in 3rd will show if the box is knackered as it would come out of gear. Thats from what ive read on here anyway. No rattles/knocks and everything should feel...

But the car does not sound too good at the mo, for some reason it sounds like its misfiring when started, the sevice light is on and the airbag light is on oh and the handbrake can reach 8 clicks
Look at the post date batman, back in winter, lumpy idle and had no fuel, come test...
No its best value for money, if there are cheaper 182s out there with full service history etc then i apologise, how can you guys judge by s**t pics.
Personally you need to see the car up in person to know the ins and outs of it :)
But you will always end up payin stupid prices for the same car, eventually losing out more. Take my PH1 for example, looks a shed and has no service history bar a few MOTs but drives sweet as a nut and you can tell how good a car is by driving it and you wouldnt take a 2nd look at it due to it...
Whys everyone jumping to conclusions lol. The car looks fine, just because it doesnt have them black insert stickers in the bumper doesnt mean its been damaged, if your really unsure and worried about it then have a good look around for creases as there will always be damage from a crash unless...
Im paying £2400 at 20 with 1year NCB, TPFT on my PH172. License held for a year.
You pay for performance and its worth it in my eyes :approve:
My best mate is paying £2500 on a 2000 1.4CL Polo 8V TPFT!! I feel for him! :dapprove:
Slap a pair of Renault alloys on your PH1 matey if your worried about insurance, i never declared my alloys etc to my insurance and they were aftermarket.
Just dont bin the car and all should be well. The PH2 will be a waste of effort/money. Granted they look a bit more modern but not enough...
115k and drives great! Engine feels solid, no rattles/knocks and the gearbox feels like new, never struggles to go in gear etc. Seats are rubbish though lol
Only thing i can think of is a sort of whistle sound coming from the engine bay when crusing at 15-20mph in 1st or 2nd gear. But it sounds...
+1, also is there any point in upgrading from yout PH1 to a PH2 if you know your PH1 is a good runner as the newer one could turn out to be a dog. Save for a 172 imo :approve:
Hi Guys!
Basically i fitted PH2 lights to my 172 back when i got it, all was well. But now for some reason when im indicating left it works fine but when i press the brake the indicator goes off and when i release off the brake the indicator comes back on. My left side brake light is not...
Ive had this exact same problem with my megane, boot would sometimes not lock or passenger door or a rear door, but it rectified itself and all was well until i came out one morning to find my system and sat nav etc gone lol. Least they didnt get the TVs in the headrests :approve:
Sorry i cant...
Nooooooo, just seen this thread. That sucks man, loved your Iceberg aswel :dapprove:
I hope you can buy it back and the insurance wont be too much mate. At least your ok thats all that matters :)
