Sainsbury's superleaded for me in Megane.
V-Power in the bike.
The cheapest stuff I can find for the Mondeo, (normally Sainsbury's again).
Used normal leaded in both the 172 and Megane, did notice it in the 172.
It ain't ever going to pass a MOT like it, so I'd just raise it.
It just seem so silly to have a car you can't actually use safely.
I wouldn't drive that on the motorway like that.
Won't do it no harm getting a bit more protection.
Some paste waxes can be layered nicely.
I normally wax the car once 4 or 6 weeks, but always use a good quick detailer after washing the car anyway.
If it's a broker they always seem to send the renewal in there own insurnance policy.
Had the same with my bike with Motorcycle Direct, they wanted £450TPFT this year up from £290 last year.
Managed to get it for £300 fully comp in the end.
I had an ITG panel in my 172 and also have in the Megane.
Don't like induction kits, plus they just stuck in hot air if not enclosed.
Pipercross are very good filters too.
I think the tax is around £210 at the moment going up to £260 next year.
Aux belt due at 36k and cambelt is 5 years or 72k.
182's are pretty much the same over than the manifold & exhausts, so abit more power.
I'd stretch to a 182 if you can, as you get cruise as standard and better...
Servicing is the same, so I'd go for which one you prefer.
I'd personally liked the Ph2 due to toys and looks, I had a 53 plate 172 for nearly 3 years and would of had a 182 if I had the money.
Ph1 cheaper to buy and very slightly to run, but I still couldn't live with that interior and front-end.
Plus I'd still rather have a 53 reg car other an X-reg car.
All down to your bugdet and which you prefer at the end of the day.
Nothing on the Megane other than getting rid of those dam swirls in the paintwork.
Mondeo, slight juddering clutch and abit high, new tyres all-round, new osf bush, new front brakes and a oil & filter change.
I'll do them when the car stops and I have to.
What a bargain.
Was that with the subframes also?
I'd stick them in your car, then take them out and sell them seperately when you sell the car.
They'll be worth good money for a good while yet.
