ren charged me £119 to fix mine......... fuming to say the least when i found out how simple it was, especially wen it happend again after 5 months and carlton garages fixed it for about 80p........fckers/
guessing he's on about the hoses and fluid dude, not the pads. and i dont think you'd be able to notice a huge amount from the hoses / fluid just driving normallly other than a firmer pedal.
didnt realise it was a two part thing, i knew i couldnt go last nite so never looked back at the thread...
would have been good to come down meet few you though:(, i'l keep an eye out for the next one and try get to it.

i did the same on my old leon cupra r, drove around for two years without them fitted and it was fine. only issue i had was when i took wheels off in the first few weeks the disc wasn't held on by anything so moved. once wheels on and all torqued up its not an issue though
