I can go +1 for the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 I have it and it's a great little lens.

I have the TZ5 as my P&S it's a great camera so the 6&7 should be fantastic.

No Limits Track day on at Oulton Park tomorrow, I'm going but my D80 is still with Nikon, it's been posted back to me today but if it comes tomorrow it will be to late as in setting off at about 09:00, so I'll have to use my TZ5 point & shoot.
