Have you done a voltage check and made sure current is available at the connector. Check the inline fuses and fuse box ( at side of battery ) if all else fails i think it maybe your UCH at fault / Possibly a faulty wiper switch ?

There is a competion on at the moment between Andy and Jordy of who can break the 9 sec quarter mile barrier. Jordy has managed a 10.4 @ 141 mph and Andy has run a 10.28 @ 138 mph.

AGU is the one to go for ( big port head )
330 bhp is very easy to achieve with a 1.8T
Heres some of my mates motors with 1.8T conversions -
Jordy's scirocco 550 bhp + 150 gas
Dales's MK1 400 bhp
Andy's 550 bhp MK1
Sambo's Audi a3 450 bhp...
Defo the circlips - 100 %
All JC5 boxes on the 172 / 182 have them. Remove the N/S shaft and replace them with new units.
The circlips were used on most boxes up until 2005.

Thats not a nice light to see. Get it to a specialist by trailer or AA. Have you tried Lyndon at Rentec ? ( poole ) hes pretty good. It will have to go on a diagnostic as that light could mean numerous different problems.

Mate - my 0 - 60 foot times at Santa pod were 1.7 seconds. That was with quaiife LSD and hoosier racing slicks. Thats 4WD territory. You can still go through bends on half throttle - you dont have to keep your foot planted on the throttle full time ;)

Depends on the engine you fit. If you keep the lump standard ( yeh right ) 150 / 180 / 225 bhp. If you modify the lump ( always go for the AGU engine Audi a3 / golf 150 bhp unit as it has the big port head ) you can expect from 270 bhp - 700 bhp depending on how far you wish to...
You been through any deep puddles / power washed engine bay ?
First thing i would do is send the ECU / UCH to a specialist to have them checked. If faulty replace / repair. Then i would remove the engine wiring loom myself ( 90 min job ) and thoroughly check all the connections for any type...
