Performance aside playing Bad Company 2 in DX9 and then playing it in DX11 the difference in terms of aesthetics is massive. I think the reason very few developers took any interest in DX10 was due to it being little, if any, different to DX9. (Obviously it offered benefits but not the "leap"...

Summary of thread. Guy posts a link to a bunch of "novice" photos at best and tries to sell them. People quite rightly point out the errors in his photography and minutes after starting the thread asking for feedback he removes the pictures from view. Nothing harsh happened.

Map Pack 3 came out a week ago. Map pack 4 only came out yesterday. You're confused.

Did you actually see the pics or are you commenting without knowing the whole story? I also fail to see all of the "harsh" replies which you magically see.

It makes pretty colours and patterns on your screen and we get all excited about it basically lol :o

I bought it off Mike (Silent_Scone) on here but I'm not sure if he wants me to divulge the price mate. Put it this way I've only had my 5870 for a couple of months but at this price I jumped at the chance to get the 480GTX.

There's two reasons for you posting a link to your portfolio. A, You want to sell them which is against CS rules.. Or, B, You want people to comment and critique. If you don't appreciate peoples honesty then I'd refrain from posting your pics again.

Nope. Some of the newer games, Bad Company 2 for example, really do play better under quad core than dual core.

Gaming? No difference. Encoding video/audio, high-end workstations etc then an i7 would have the advantage.

LGA1156 yeah. I couldn't see the point of going for an i7 setup purely for gaming, ego aside.

Ditch the i7 and swap it for one of the new i5 655K. Cheaper, faster at default clocks, also has Hyper threading and comes with an unlocked multiplier.
