I'm reporting this post for indecent images....it's like pornography.
Little annoyed I sold mine now looking at this. As the next thing to do on mine was throttle bodies.
If you have a set of new injectors on the way I would just swap them so they are all new. Piece of mind and that. Keep the three good ones as spares in case you need them.
I had to replace one last year in March and then another in May. Should have just swapped them all in March tbh.
If I am not too late to the party but get them coated once painted in some kind of protector/sealant. I painted my wheels orange a few years ago and looked mega smart. Put them on the car and after a few months the brake dust started to eat the paint away between the spokes. In hindsight I...
You are having the same thoughts I had about my Clio with how much it will cost against what's it's worth. The maths won in my case and I sold it.
Are you able to finish it to a road car standard? That might make it worth a bit more plus it will be a hoot to drive like what you are after.
As promised a few pictures of the new car, BMW E34 535i
And just after I have washed it this morning. Would like to polish it and put some kind of hydrophobic coating on it, like my brother has on his car.
Mother thinks I am mad as I picked it up last night and off on holiday to Devon in...
Happy with that price, but just don't want to use Flux if I have to. Never been a fan of them after messing me about in the past.
Plus I am in a hotel tonight away with work so not really that much to do tonight lol!
My new BMW will qualify for classic car policy being from 1989 so wondering who people reccomend.
Greenlight won't insure it a its RWD so had to cancel the Clio's policy. Footman James thought I was too young. Flux offered £120. Any others to try?
I'm 27, 10 years no claims, no accidents...
Project Clio has came to an end. The new owner has just picked it up.
It's been an eventful 4.5 years of ownership! Time to move on.
Already bought the new car, my friend eventually tempted me with his BMW E34 535i. He just needs to put some new front shocks on it first....unless he is trying...
What other Renault steering wheels fit a Ph1 Clio? I need one with an air bag so was going up the scrappy to get one but want to keep my options open. Is it any Renault of the same period/age? Megane/Laguna/Scenic....
Next thing I want done on the car is refresh the front chassis stuff up - new wishbones, ball joints, wheel bearings, tie rods, black poly bushes.
I've looked in eBay for wishbones, but what Ines will fit and are good quality? Or is it worth buying new from Renault? Are Ph2 ones different?
I...
@barnesautos how easy was it to change? Similar to throttle cable? Or tie new to old and pull through? I've had the car for 40k miles and not done it. Aim for the coming 2 years is make the whole thing mechanically "new" then worry about bodywork later....
If it was on a side road then I wouldn't have left it, but being on the main road into London it was quite in sight of lots of people and that.
If it happened 3m later I would not have been able to get it into that lay by and would have been blocking the road, so it was sort of lucky.
Ok so...
After 4 years of ownership the Clio finally let me down...clutch cable snapped. Middle lane of A4 (just got of M4) in London at rush hour.
Managed to push it to a lay by and left it all weekend as I was visiting my girlfriend. Just waiting for the AA now to take me home.
Very little has happened recently....got m vRS working again so the Clio was given a rest. I didn't turn it on for about a month as it was at my brother's house. Wasn't expecting it to start first time and run like a bag of trash for a bit, but nope. Started first time and has been top form...
Also use some form of protector on them before you use the wheels. I didn't make that mistake with my new wheels! Can't remember the exact name but if you check my progress thread there is details of the quartz coating I used. This has helped loads
I've got black wheels on mine and it looks as if there is no wheels on it from a distance. I went black as it was cheaper and easier to keep clean.
Agree with the silver wheels on standard ride height. If lowering it go different....green....red....I went orange for a while. Although dark...
Total noob question. Hate electrics and electronics.
Currently making a cold air feed light unit, and the side light bulb gets in the way. I have found these bulbs but they are asking for +ve or -ve earth, and either 6V or 12V. As it's from a classic car site I am assuming old cars were...
They are my first set of after market suspension, but my brother and step dad who have had more experience with car parts said they looked the part and good quality and were impressed with them. My brother was quite jealous of them tbh.
Not sure in the spring rates. I do have a track set up...
If it was sub £1.5k I would take a punt at it and restore it as it would be worth it then. I doubt it would pass an MoT test with that hole in the sill.
If this is the one I think it is I am very jealous! I saw it at Castle Combe in April at the Forge Action Day, and wasn't it for sale a while ago and I don't think it sold.
Who has seen this??

Are people mad or is that is what it is worth with all of that rot? Currently at £2k. Worst bit about the ad "would make an ideal track car". Noooooo!! Do not sacrifice this!
