I rang up Renault today asking the same question & they said that the gearbox oil should never need changing?

Yeah & that but you need to clean them & re oil them, plus mine was torn for some reason! Couldn't be bothered with it & just stuck to standard.

I used an ITG panel filter for a while but didn't see the point after about a year & just stuck the good old standard back on...

Probably because people moaned at how common it was for them to leak!
