About £10 a week in my car:D. Dont use my car to get to work, so it sits on the drive all week. Its a big money saver having a company van and company fule card;).
When my first car was stolen the coppers didnt even come round they just took my details over the phone and said they would keep an eye out for it. And when I found the car dumped they still didn’t come round they just told me to move it before it gets towed away and they charge me for it.:@
As I said some people just don’t have the *feel* for braking pressure. My mom just panics and stands on the brake pedal when there is a hazard, I suppose it just comes naturally. Some people must have this feeling for grip and some don’t, one person who was the master at this was Ayrton...
In 7 years of driving I have had 3 cars without ABS and 2 with. And I don’t give a crap what anyone says I can stop quicker without ABS than with, no probs. As Griff says all it helps you with is steering.
How do they go about doing an emergency stop In driving tests because nearly all...
Even so I still think I could stop quicker, I suppose it may not come naturally to some people. You can just *feel* the limit at which to not apply any more pedal pressure, I suppose it’s a bit of a 6th sense really;). I never had a problem locking up in any of my old cars, but all the cars with...
You load of puffs, who needs ABS. Admittedly my car has it but I don’t like it at all, I wish I could switch it off. I could stop quicker with out it in the wet no problem, it cuts in way to early.
Wolverhampton Renault are my local dealer and they are a pile of sh!t. My Mk2 172 (which was only 3 months old at the time) needed a new engine, for the whole 5 weeks they had my car they never gave me a courtesy car. They kept feeding my crap like all the Courtesy cars were pre booked and I...
Had to take mine off in the end, engine management light coming on all the time and the car randomly going into limp mode. Took it off and had no problems since.
Griff,
Got the engine fixed free of charge and then two weeks after some idiot in a merk hit me and totaled it. And being the nice guy that he was didnt stop, so I lost 2 of my 4 years NCD. Got a insurance friendly Mk2 Punto Sporting at the moment (because the insurance renewal on another 172...
Depends on Richs age. Before i had my 172 i had a quote on a UK Scoob and it was £1000 and the 172 was £200 less. This was last year when i was 23 BTW.

See what the guys on Scoobynet think, it should start a 10 page slanging matchhttp://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/images/smilies/biggrin.gif...
I’ll nominate Renault Wolverhampton, they didn’t give me a courtesy car for the whole 6 weeks they had my 172 when they were putting a new engine and box in it.
Thanks for the info lads, didnt think that there would be any preformance gain from this it just sounds nice. Just wanted to know if it would cause any damage so if it doesnt ill keep it off.
Tim.
p.s. how do you reset the E.C.U???
