My 1.2 8v mk1 ph3 did 115 the 2.0 16v mk1 did 140 and was still going but was a little scary and the nail (golf tdi) has done 115.. ..All down the strip of course ;)

There is black, 3 types of white iirc, red, naples red, williams blue (449) monaco blue (432/williams 3) another blue colour and iirc theres another blue in the mk1 ph3, grey/silver, green, i think they did a horrid cream/yellow colour

cliomk2sport will eventually change, it used to be a mixed balance of mk1s and mk2s but now its rightly called cliomk2sport so i cant see why it wont change to cliomk3sport in the future... the 197 is dog shiiiite

VAG into mk1 would cost about 4k ish.... Get the 225 model VAG engine though and insert that into a mk1 then go and play.... 400bhp mk1 anyone?

i wouldnt mind a 225 engine in a mk1 16v :) now that would be nice :D

only thing thats putting me off is the claimed power figure and the modifications... am sure it could work but not brilliantly... It has plenty of tax and test on it so am not worried about faults but i cant inspect until he replies

i cant see how 97k is high mileage for a 15 year old car... its well below average... How do you know its not been fitted properly or setup professionaly... I still havent recieved a message back from him yet so if he dont reply then i wont be buying... Id be buying to use.... i wish i never...

theres a ph1 v6 engine on ebay at the moment!

give the plugs and leads a wipe and check see if they spark... if it was the coil pack it wouldnt start

weld the rack and covr the hole up with gaffa tape, ginner did it on the xr2i n it passed... i paid 300quid for mine doin on clio though and it wanted doing again within 6 months... wasnt terrible the 2nd time but it was coming back

calipers and carriers and pads go for about 40quid for the pair discs usually go for around 30 + depending on what they are etc

if bumpers and that dont make a diferent phase then there is only a ph1 and ph2 mk1...... the only changes in the mk1 ph1 and 2 are bumpstrips, and grill.... mk2 ph3 has a different grill and bumpers. So Ads172 your wrong

take the wheel off you will see straight away if the arm/track rod is bent

bit dear tho and they were meant to polish my mates manifold and fuel rail guard and the sprayed them instead of polishing

re to derusting get a wire brush on the case that will sort that out :) as for the gearbox i have no idea where it is (the switch)

you may also have put a crease in the subframe which could explain the pulling to the left...

iirc theres a switch on/in the gearbox that makes em work
