Soak it overnight with cocacola or pepsi and then pour boiling water over it. The boys at AT* slack all the wheel bolts off and drive them round the yard! Well, actually thats trucks and trailers with 14.00 x 22.5 but I thought that would get your attention. Brake fluid mixed with red diesel is...
Dave Fox at foxfibreglass. He does composite panels that are superb - see the WRC cars. 01778 423763. Moulds are the most expensive part if you are having one off panels done.
What do you mean by flashing green gearbox light at the rt side of the console? This is the cruise control, speed limiter engagement light or it is on UK market.
Phase 1 235 and phase 2 255 are completely different handling, suspension layout, steering geometry, handling and gearchange. Having driven both, I prefer the phase 2 cars. If youre going to buy a phase 1 then I suggest that you spend your money on the suspension, gearbox and engine upgrades...
What rig you got? Blackhawk has them all for the P-188 mk2 rigs but your subscription has to be upto date on tech help! Scott has new front and back subframes if that is whats bent or have you dropped them out and are trying to straighten the sill rails. If so, Good Luck!
Think statement twice as much petrol, is an exaggeration! :cry:I had 25.2mpg showing on the trip computer after 250 miles, upto Castle Combe and back on Sat. Lucky if you got that out of a 182!

Rob [Joules] at Damex has done the initial start-up map for the dynamometer and Simon Norris is going to map it on the dyno with exhaust and accessories installed. Gone for traction control, launch control, lambda control and ignition amps with coms connector. Rob has made it ready to run a dash...
Yeh, very interested to know some one who will remap a standard ECU and not a special Trophy R Sport one. I just paid £3.5k +vat for Motec M800 with extras. The V6 started life as 1997 Laguna engine and TWR tweaked it to get 285bhp on the Trophy comp cars but they also ran specially selected...
Mail Scottie at mailto:info@renaultclioV6.com">info@renaultclioV6.com. He has all the bits and advice you need and I think there are some snaps on Ktec site.
Sounds like heavy consumption to me. I use about 1 litre every 5000 miles or put it another way, thats 1 litre top-up between oil changes and that is probably only about 1000 miles of motor/expressway use, the rest is across country, up and down rev range. V6 255.
My missus thrashes her 182...
A new engine costs a fortune. £25.00 for a sump full of synthetic is small change compared to that. See the post by Oilman re positive advantages of synthetics v stock oil.
You can download L&H Power Translator Pro or just drool over these naughty french magazine pictures like you did at school, instead of taking more notice of the french teacher.
Seriously good site though!
You should live in Cornwall with a V6 Mike, there arent many speed bumps or multi storey anythings but we have T junctions that have not changed since when Ollie Cromwell was a boy in these parts. It gives the farm boys in their big JD combines a grin when I have to double shunt to get down some...
Fantastic post for us techies!
What sort of mileage do think you would see by running fully synthetic oil? I have access to SOS [scheduled oil sampling] so might give it a try. I have run big 7000 bhp diesels at upto 10,000 hour drain periods using synthetics and SOS. It comes a bit expensive...
Hate to be a techie but I think you will find that the DSM [detonation sensing module] in the ECU is sensing fuel pre-detonation and increasing voltage output. Plugs torqued to the recommended torque in clean threads with a tiny touch of Molycote or Copaslip on the threads will reduce...
Dont think what fuel you use has anything to do with coil failure! Usually they fail due to vibration, bad earthing connection or overheating.
Who makes these coils for Renault?
I have a lot of V6 v 182 days cos herself has a 182 and I have V6.
The 182 is easier to set-up for corners and higher entry/exit speeds are achievable, especially in the wet.
She dont know fear and is oblivious to tyre squeel, engine scream and clutch slip, also her screen wash bottle is...
Road, shopping, pub, club sprints & hillclimbs.
Will have to try the tranny as standard but will see if we can change ratios and fit an lsd when we see the dyno curve / plot. Mike T is still running a std tranny on his blown car I believe.
Rev limit is why I want to dyno the engine and not...
Just about ready to dyno my new engine, spec; Omega hc race pistons, polished and peened rods and crank, ported and gas flowed heads, gas flowed plenum, Newman wide lobe cams, grey injectors, race coils, full balance, Motec 800 ECU with launch control, etc, janspeed manifolds and connectors with...
I have scraped mine several times at filling station entrance ramps, supermarket car parks and the security ramps. I approach them really carefully now but still have cracked the front apron and undertray, sometimes other road users get annoyed at this slow speed roll-over!
I have replaced...
