lol.....the suzuki ain't RWD mid and 255bhp though is it......I have to admit that in the wet the v6 is a BLOODY handfull (the suzuki having NO pwer is NOT, its totally different, No matter what our Nige says..... ;)......in the dry the V6 is totally different ;)
Simon
OH MY GOD NOT THIS SH*T AGAIN......don't anyone here watch Top Gear?
Clio 182 with cup pack was bone dry track 133.8
V6 255 was flooded track 136.2..... minus 4.4secs per lap for the total flooded track and you get 131.8...... 2 seconds faster....
maybe you guys feel a Minardi F1 car...
Sad story, and I am very sorry for you mate but that seems to be life these days :(
I would NEVER leave my V6 on my driveway over night, let alone outside my house?, risking far to much.....if you can not garage it maybe you should sell it rather than ask OTHER people to pay for something you...
These are the speed of each gear of the different V6 box's (posted by Mike T)
Mk1 Mk 2 Sadev
1 36.6 39.3 52.5
2 67.9 63.3 69.0
3 96.8 87.1 86.0
4 130.2 120.3 106.0
5 159.2 147.0 123.6
6...
I like that too :)
BarryBoys are getting to "picky" these days imho.....
I wouldn't be suprised if they think the V6 Clio is a bit "barry boyish"? ;) oh well :)
Simon
I bet they would have loved my 200bhp, lowered, 16", 5 spoked TSW'd, vented bonnet, new grilled 5GTT...lol ;)...
Yeah they look awesome.... I spotted a Mk1 V6 (silver of course) near Grantham today :)
I have seen 2 Mk1's and 3 Mk2's now, silver, black and blue.
Simon
Thats down to air resistance at speed, my old 5 GT turbo was quoted (as STD, 120bhp) at 7.5 to 60mph yet 21 to 100mph, and it felt like that too.....felt better when running 200bhp though...lol ;)
Simon
Well the ST has 160bhp per tonne (so less than a cup) but 320nm of torque, but has a kerb weight of around 1375kg's..... so Mentally fast? 0-60 is 6.9, 0-100 17.0? so slower than a cup......
Being a Turbo though I would imagin there is plenty of power you can extract from it yet? :)
Simon
Yeah but if you compare them with "The BOOK" time then you think your car is faster when is not, so its misleading, yes?
If you run it to 3mph at 60 and 5mph at 100 you will be more accurate at least.... :)
On a speedo vid, like the way people on here do them, I could get my v6 to maybe...
Yeah that 3rd gear change is what is slowing your 0-60 time down, if you could only get there in 2nd you'd be laughing, try 0-100 (104-5mph on speedo) and see what you get :)
Simon
def 9 secs, I hit the stop watch as soon as it moves and stop it at 63mph (true 60mph) checked it 3
times now, still 9 secs...
you should know that the 0-60 time given in books are used with timming gear to hit 60 spot on, but ALL speedo's over read, 63mph is closer to real 60mph...
only 700 miles per year, I find that very hard to believe?
They must have turned the clock back?
Also did a search for that number plate and couldn't find any details? can anyone else do one?
Simon
The 182 is a great car, if you love it keep it, if not buy something else.....thats been the way I buy my cars :)
Newer doesn't always mean better ;)
There are lots of thread on here about the 197, why not scroll through a few of those and see what people are saying? :)
Simon
That time looks about the same on my stop watch as the other one?
have to say though that speedo vids are no where near as accurate as normal 0-60 times and should be taken with a pinch-of-salt..... ;) they always seem to be faster...lol ;)
Simon
Was thinking of buying that myself because of the Clio's can you tell me please:
1.Does it have a proper "cockpit view" with worlking dials and NO HUD?
2.How does it feel physics wise to rFactor and GTL?
3.Is it more Arcade or Simulation?
Thanks
Simon
There was this guy I knew years ago ( mate of a mate) he had a Sierra saphaire (sp) 1.6 and spent a huge amount on a Cossie-look-alike kit with all the badges, seats dash and so on, it did look just like a cossie, but with all the time it had taken him and money spent he'd have been better...
5 GT Turbo's loved to be tuned....well mine did :)
amazed to know there is one around thats not been? ;)
Keep it and mod the hell out of it, its what its waiting for.....lol
Simon
