squat, they are the TALLEST clio's ever made ...lol
6" (150mm) more than my V6 and look like a "people carrier to me", I'm an old person to some on here (42 soon), but I wont be buying a Mk3 clio, just don't like the Mk3's size/shape.... :(
Simon
Yeah awesome racing, got that on DVD :)
Trouble these days imho is that cars have way to much aero downforce :(
therefore can not to close to the others in corners without loosing grip :(
but thats progress for you, not always a good thing ;)
yeah well Auto car is s**t......read EVO mag, far better.... lol ;)
not that 0.2s to 60 and 100 makes any difference on the road.....only in the "pub"....lol :)
Simon
Well as you can see from my post I too didn't say the Clio V6 was the fastest car on the road, I have never called my car mind blowingly fast either, Infact I doubt any Clio V6 driver thinks their cars are mind blowingly fast?
std they do 0-60 in 5.8, 100 in 14.8 and 153mph, which is quite...
that's just hear say, point me to a Nissan specs site that tells me the full specs of an old std 200sx please ;)
btw, NO V6 clio owner has ever called their car a "supercar"?, its ain't possible to buy a NEW supercar for only £25k now is it...doh :)
its just a 153mph+, wide arch, RWD...
yes there are faster cars out there, no one who owns a v6 255 thinks they have the fastest cars on the roads, it only has 250bhp ffs... ;)
however you said your modded CTR was only half a car length ahead at 140mph, so by that reckoning "they're both not that fast ffs!" ;) :)
Simon
there is NO WAY as std 200sx would keep up with a std 255. NO f**king way.....the 200sx was a slow car when new......lol only good if you tune them....
Simon
1994-95 Nissan 200sx
they only have around 155bhp per tonne, less than a 172/182 and 255
0-60 was around 7.5s and 100 in around...
I could be wrong (as my broadband is f**ked up and I can't download the vid) but I have a feeling the 350Z on that clip was the "Nismo" one with uprated suspension, 295bhp, 380nm of torque and 1525kgs :)
Simon
I would have thought the 172 would wipe the floor, the VTS has 123bhp and 1083kg, giving it just 113bhp per tonne.
The 172 has 169bhp and 1050kg giving that a much better 160bhp per tonne. :)
Simon
btw, only did a quick Google on those figures so please feel free to correct me if...
Yeah agree....
My mate did a full format on his mates (wrong) hard drive and still manged to get back 98% of all that was on that Hard drive with a Data retriveal program :)
Simon
0-60 is about 10.5 secs from that vid as NO speed's are that correct, ie at 60on the speedo you are only really going around 57-58, so therefore you have to look at what time it takes to get to 63 and that takes a gear change, so around 10.5s seems about right to me, then a further 23-24s to get...
Colin mate Think what your saying, here are a few quotes from YOU to make you see sense.. lol ;)
"i always have a tent when driving my vee"
"i give you 2 months before you miss it mate"
"handles superb mate"
"wouldnt ever sell the vee for one though"
and
"is there really any...
I have never found my Mk2 V6 to be unstable either, even at 150mph? ;)
but I have to admit to being a fair weather driver these days...lol
its my second/third car, so no need to go blating about in wet and windy weather if one doesn't have to.....lol ;)
Simon
Yeah, even the last secret levels are not that hard....
I cant find anymore games to download either?
still if we want to play games we can use the PSP..... ;)
Simon
My first one had the same problem as Alans mrs's did, seems to be a problem with the first gen ones from what I have read on the net?
my second one is going ok so far, keep my figures crossed ;)
other than that works great :)
Simon
Yeah thats seems low torque for a heavy car?
power to weight is only slightly more than a 182 (168 per tonne v 164) but torque is almost the same, yet it weighs 260kgs more......would have thought the 182 could hold its own against one?
Simon
Yeah I'm on my 2nd one in 6 weeks, Orange swapped it in 24 hours because it was only 24 days old when it died....Just turned off and wouldn't start up again....did some looking on the net and there seem to be a few doing it?
2nd ok so far, but only had it 2 weeks so far.... ;)
Simon
Has that advert been made for the USA market, dollars and Aluminum pedals, although English guy speaking......Slightly girlie std Clio...... lol
although my wife does have a Mk3 1.4 std Clio, so I guess they have that bit right....lol
Simon
50-70 in 7.5s seems a lot for a 172cup?
I know when I'm pushing my V6 255, I keep the revs between 5.0k and 7.2k(rpm), thats where power really comes in on V6, using that, 40-60 is 2.7s and 50-70 is 3.6s....Now if I get 3.6s from 50-70, I'm sure the 172cup should do better than 7.5s?
I...
Using the good old performance calc, I would need 530bhp to get 11.4 ;) :)
Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 530
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1335
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 403.38
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.49
0 - 100 (Secs) : 7.20
60 - 100 (Secs) : 3.71
Quarter Mile (Secs) ...
Best std 255 was 14.2 from Slugger on this site :)
As much as I love V6 clio's I doubt very much an 11.4 could be had with only a 100bhp increase with a weight of 1335kgs?
Simons
still it would be nice to have 350bhp to play with ;)
