    Track Car dilemma

Finding a cheap rust free MX5 is hard, whereas finding a cheap 172 is easy. i also found that plenty of clios come at least partially track prepped, whereas finding an mx5 with a cage is rare unless it's been prepped for a one make series. I wound up with a clio, which was £2500 with new brakes...

White clio 172 which for some reason the brakes have gone funny on since last year! Im on braided lines, standard disks and DS2500 rears and RC5 fronts and I was properly worried a couple of times until I started braking much earlier when I was behind you!

Ahh, I saw it in the pits on turbines, and thereafter from the back whilst trying not to run into the back of you at the hairpin! What pads are you using?

    Mixing engine oil brands

As long as its the same viscosity and grade it will be fine. Are both fully synthetic? Oil use doesnt seem to be a big feature of these engines, but with all engines some do and some dont. How much is a lot?

Thats proper diesel RPM that, the bora is 2000@70 and ~2300 at 80 in 6th. They've obviously managed to combine a decent capacity and some modern turbo tech to get decent torque waaaay down the rev range so it can cruise happily at thos revs and pull from them without needing a downshift.

LMAO thats's brilliant. Im unsurprised yours is the highest mileage one around and as such the guinea pig and its good to see them pulling out the stops to find out what happened for the future. I also like the fact that instead of being all 'OMG you did what' they simply advise ensuring it has...

Just to add, trip 1 only resets when the car hasnt been started for two hours, so will sometimes last a whole day and then reset overnight depending on how many times you use the car throughout the day.

Ouch on the fuel pump failure, but I guess other than some inconvenience it's free and you get something nice to cruise around in for a bit!

Proper harsh being left high and dry by a brand new car, but I am laughing at the fact you're always max baller, you have more car finance on your drive than some people's houses and not one of them is roadworthy!

Yeah I like the TS nights, everyone is generally couteous and gives plenty of space and even when they dont, the driving standards are good enough you dont have to worry too much! Ouch on the disks and pads, what were you running?
