Adam speaketh the truth, get some monitoring software like NetStumbler, run it and see what networks you detect, note the channels they are on and when reconfiguring your router, choose one that's free.

Nope, stand alone though you get a free PAYG SIM with it. Only function relying on the SIM is the messaging function [send/receive SMS]. Seems there's a fully working idiot proof [patched] version of Ubuntu now, though they also have Android and Crunchbang working, all via a USB pendrive.

Re: iPhone 4G (No longer rumours) Looks good, but, I personally like the tapered edges on the current models as it lessens the profile of the phone in your pocket. To me, it also looks more HTC in design, and less Apple. If the spec is right though, then this could definitely be a winner...

Apple is fortunate that it has a reputation which will sell products. If MS had released this [like Samsung's earlier effort], it would have failed. Still doesn't make it worth buying, no interest at all in it, and I assume I'm target market.

Pretty quick community effort behind this. First came Ubuntu, then came enabling of iPlayer, and now we have people working on Android which they have working with touch. Really impressive device for not a lot of money, just need some sort of decent battery solution.
