Well obviously all these oil burners you talk about aren't standard. Modify a clio and it will be a different story again. A 172 Cup will beat a standard 120d and a standard 330d!
You've not been in a 172 / 182 before have you. A 120d will not be ahead at any stage (my dad had one). Never had a play with a 330d, but have against a 535d, it was fairly close, but I was ahead in the end.
Like you said, you'll have a company car for your commute, so a lot of your mileage will be done in that I'd imagine ;)
I am in the same boat, do a lot of motorway miles to work and back, hence why the mileage is quite high.
It is a good car for the money and does not need a thing doing...
As long as they are serviced regularly they are good for quite a few miles past the 100k. The main thing to worry about is getting the cam belit done at 72k or 5 yrs (mine has been done ;))

I asked him bout the cat d and asked for more pics both of the car now, and of the damage. Also, as he said he mite be interested in a p/x I asked the question bout the clio.
He replied basically saying no to the p/x and that was it. No mention about the damage or n e more pics.

That is absolutely gorgous mate. Fair play. Have been looking at them myself, but a bit out of my price range (for now).
Prefer this one though:

Check out that interior ;)
I have asked for more info on the cat d. But if it has been up for sale for a while there must be something wrong with it, as its a bargain at that price. Has it always been for sale at that price?
Mine is for sale if you are interested mate. 2 k less miles, just serviced and MOT'd with cam belt done:

They will normally ask for proof of NCB after you have taken the policy out. You usually have to get a letter from your previous insurance company detailing how many yrs NCB you have and forward it on.
When I was 20 the best I could find was with elephant - £1600. Directline wouldn't even quote me at 20.
At 21 it dropped to £600 (with privilege).
I had 4 yrs NCB.
Any way, to sum it up. Elephant was cheapest for me when I was 20!
