Can't listen to any of those at work :( but I was following one of the new ones the other day and it sounded the absolute dogs.
Number plate was MU51ANG as well.
I agree. As said my bro has got a Jordan. The 172 will be quicker, but it certainly won't blow it away!
And everyone who says Hondas are slow until they come in to vtec need to drive one. They probably come in to vtec as quick as a 172 gets to the 4k kick, and like most are saying about...
I really need to get some new and decent pics, but:
Some of my bros Jordan (not the best, only ones got on my photobucket):
Before lowered and returned to original alloys:
In the Shell garage in Shirley at about 19:50 tonight. See a black 182 and a fit blonde filling it up. Thought to myself nice car, even nicer driver. Didn't think I would see you again. 20 miles down the M5 who should I see.... Then even weirder you get off at the same junction (must be fate!)...
What has he done to that???? That exhaust looks sh1te. Hurry up and get it changed. Not sure about the blue CAF either. But other than that she is still looking good.
I think I have read that you are planning on getting it lowered, one thing that I always intended to do, but never got around...
That was with privlege. Was 22 with 4 (or may be 5 actually) years NCB. NCB was also protected. Was about £500 without the protected NCB.
I then bought a DC5 and the insurance shot up to £1250 :dapprove:
That is some good going with the £10 in 40 miles. Easily done though if you spent most of the 40 miles in vtec. Probably used as much oil as petrol in that time too ;)
I only ever had one scary moment due to the lack of ABS, car slammed its brakes on in front of me and I locked the wheels up...
As above really. Think they have answered most of your questions and covered most things to look out for.
The tank is the same size as the DC5 I think. Costs about the same to fill up any way. You will get better mpg. I average 28-30 in the DC5 with mostly motorway driving, but some fun as...
I have got them on mine, and I think it is about 30mm.
I gave mine a good polish yesterday. If you could see it in the flesh now I think it'd make your mind up ;)
I will admit, you do get the odd rattle. But the overall feel and build quality seems a lot better than the clio. As far as the dash being less inspiring, I seriously doubt that. With a nice double din head unit etc. But then I came from a 172 Cup. If I'd have had a FF or 182 or something then...
No worries.
Will be my good deed for the day, trying to convince someone else to move away from the crap French build quality, so that they too can have a happy life :)
I am with A Plan. By far the cheapest I could find. Seem to come out on top for a lot of people. There are a couple of other ones that other people find cheapest. Guess it depends on your circumstances.
There is a sticky thread in the insurance section of www.itr-dc5.com with all of the...
I think the change was made between 2004 / 2005. But obviously it all depends when the car was registered also. It could well have been a pre-facelift, but just registered late.
Pre-facelift:
Facelift:
The pre-facelift hasn't got a standard exhaust on it. But either way I much prefer the looks of the pre-facelift. All personal choice thouhg I suppose.
