I think the App is called EA Sports Gamepad.

The Samsung will also play the films off the hard drive via USB. Stick with Samsung as it matches your room :)

For the size you want and the amount you want to spend either of those are perfect. Great Hz's aswell.

It is... 720p is fine for what you need.
