I havent even realised 'bulb' mode on my camera how do you get it on the d3100?

ok so i should remove the lens at night and put the lens on during the day?

would that not come up on all my pictures not just some? plus i have a lens cap thats always on unless taking photos never had it out in the rain!

ive got a ultra violet filter on my camera ment to stop glare i think how do i get rid of them?

Basically ive been taking night shots of the moon and light trails ect but i am finding little dots in my pictures. Its a brand new camera so nothing wrong with that. Does anyone know what they are and what i can do to get rid of them? here are some examples: ...i hope these pics have worked!

i dont think i have bulb mode on my camera? :S if i buy a remote does this help the shutter speed or just the non shake of the camera?

how do you guys get such a long shutter speed i.e 30 mins? my nikon d3100 only reaches 30s?
