Ran it for about half an hour last night and its fine. Maybe the heat shield is helping. I hope it's not a dodgy connection. Maybe things will reemerge once I've took her out.
Doesn anyone know if there is a clio 2 which has this panel with nothing on? I'm thinking about fitting a oil pressure gauge here, so need a blank panel to stick a hole in :)
I'd buy a couple mark. Friend had one for his vx220t as it fogged up easily in winter. Although the heater worked, it wasn't very fast which isn't much use to you
Standard is 11:1 yeah? I'm sure Matt was selling some a while back. If that is standard compression, Omega and Costworth S2000 spec pistons were available. Not sure where you would get them from though.
Wish I had seen this before a weekend of swearing :( the manifold doesn't half get in the way, but it is still possible without undoing it, but you have to bring the starter up next to the coolant reservoir.
If you know what to do it could be worse. Took me a while, but it was my first time. The most annoying bit was refitting the heat shield. I bolted the start back in place, and couldn't for the life of me put it on, so had to unbolt it (only had one bolt in thank god), removed the wiring, and do...
Indeed they are Paul. UCH has to be sync'd to the Ecu otherwise its a no no. Renault will tell you they cannot be recoded, although the ecu can. You need to swap over a UCH/ecu/key set to check the wiring system.
It is shocking tbh. But at least you have a shell and steering wheel sorted.what more do you need.lol. Is the centre console staying? Out if everything when seeing it in the flesh, that was the neatest bit IMO.
You could have done what the Honda boys do and make one of the tail pipe inserts redundant. ie fitting a 172 variant. However the one you have fitted is very nice indeed
I was amazed you didn't like the BTB because Joes work is brilliant. Love mine. Granted he could use TIG more, but its all under the car anyway and the MIG still looks brilliant :)
Could be the UCH. Could be a loose wire to the UCH, might be the relay itself. It has been know for water to get into the UCH, so maybe have a look at it. mick at diamond knows these systems better than most.
I thought you mean 7 x the car value, which would have been insane.lol. One thing I have learned in life is that no matter how hard you try, set a budget and double and it'll be closer :( I'm impressed that you've stuck with it as most would have packed in long ago.
^^^Solid red also means immobiliser issue mate. Be it wiring, UCH or earth related. Can-bus is a common issue which causes a permanently immobilised car. As you say though, flickering immobiliser light usually means key unvalidated or barrel reader.
Not normally a big fan of classic fords, but that's brilliant. There has been a lot of love and money spent their. I was surprised there was no sequential though
