renault are expectinalmost half its 182 sales to be cups. they reckon wrong in my opinion. they have gone to near to the 182, i mean, cloth interior trim saving weight over leather/alcantara? ten grams maybe?
your w asting your time mate. you would spend nearly ten on spare parts. a 182 is a different car all round. it has wider track, which means wider driveshafts, different hubs, shocks, steering rack, longer wheelbase, and so on. buy one, simple as mate.
actually many people (testers) now think the 182 is now superb, with its new steering rack setup, far more feel and bite than that of the ctr. and autocars recent track test, the 182 hit 106mph, ctr only hit 104! (2mph, woopie, but point stands, not alot in it) bhp/tonne is up on clio aswell...
tis a cheapskates 182 :p hehe
cant see y ppl would buy one. i can c benefits between 172 and 172 cup. but not in this case. it to me is a un-specced 182 basically.
Good summary there. Agreed on the torque steer. As for the toque limiter (to prevent boost overloading as you put it), this is a common thing on fords, going from the 1.7 puma (1st gear torque limiter) upwards. You can get disabler switches for them though. Lets face it, a front wheel drive car...
yeah you keep the 4x4 ride height! I am also looking at getting the ktec camber adjusters aswell. Hmm, looks like ill have to get wheels then first! tho im going only 1" bigger so hopefully it wont mess it up to much. :(
hmmm. more confusion. i might just wait and see. i emailed ktec but no response yet. I am probabally going to go for a full kit, so i dont wanna lump out 600 quid and find out its wrong!
Hey lads. heres one for you lot.
I got a 182 on order, and I cannot find many parts, like suspension. only for 172? Will this fit? also same for wheel offset and pcd, can i buy wheels for a 172 and they fit on?
Cheers lads!!!
