Right guys just got my car back from the garage, purring now might i add but they gave me back my old head, now it has got all 8 inlet valve bent but whats it worth?? i got some one after it but dont no how much to let it go for??? help Bondie!

It is just valve damage engine cut straight away

The aux belt had freaded which wrapped around crankshaft which knocked the cambelt a few notches causing the car not to start, timing out which caused valve damage! Bad luck i guess, only had the car a few months.

Belts aint snapped luckily but theirs alot of valve damage!

Bad times! Picked up 20 mins ago to have a new head fitted along with AUX & CAM belts also head gasket! £800 lighter just before christmas! GREAT!

Will a compression test tell me if the valves have bent?

Now booked in for a full cambelt and aux change using renault parts for £400. if theirs is valve damaged probley not to all 16 as the engine cut out straight away i will be able to replace them all between myself and cookie jnr. So maybe not the end of it yet!

No i was going to leave that to that garage to sort out, but if their is valve damage i have got a head lined up to replace it.

Right basically looking to see if this has happened to anyone and ask for some advise! The Aux belt has frayed and a strand off the belt has come away, now at the time the car cut out straight away and the STOP light came on, NO engine warning light atall, since then it will not start theirs...

After a good going over it again last night with cookie-jnr we found the problem, Part of the aux belt has come of like a strand of the belt and looks asif it has wrapped around the crank shaft and knocked the timing out of the cambelt but luckily hasnt snaped the cambelt so no valve damage...

Basically i was out last night driving along the dual carridgeway when suddenly i lost all power to the engine. I pulled over checked the spark plugs and they where all sparking, i had fuel, there was also enough oil in the car. But it would start AA came out and basically didnt have a clue just...
