If you're planning on going the whole hog then I'd recommend you do some reaing on turbos etc. I can recommend you some good helpful books if you want. Drop me a PM.
I really like my TCE, I prefered it so much I bought the whole car lol!
It's the standard 1.2 engine with a tiny turbo on and mapping to suit. The Torque is pleasant on it spec on motorways etc. You'd be best getting a manifold and exhaust made to suit a small turbo and building a bolt on turbo kit than swapping the whole engine, or at least just buying the bits...
Calling it a turbo is quite optimistic when you see the size of it. You might as well wait tbh and save for a sport.
What engine do you have in it now? I can't imagine a TCE engine and loom will be very cheap (I maybe wrong), prob cost the same as the extra for a sport.
What are you looking...
Olly went grinding the armco just after the Folly fence. The 'Rise fence is a fair way up from where he went off.
The fence doesn't go all the way down so you should be ok. It's on the left hand side of this pic:
Maybe comes down as far as the 'Avon rise' sign but I was taking some pics...
Yep 1.4, I think it was a Rover to begin with too (well they all were I guess lol) I'm not sure how the gearbox was compiled from my understanding its the Rover/MG box with the Saxo GTi internals in it.
He wanted a reliable car more than fast one so stuck with the 160 altough he gives the 180 one a good run. He's running saxo gearbox internalls to help the gearing on it.
There's the two 1400cc's and then there's 6 or 7 1600cc - 1800cc cars out there too so lots of MG's, they've superceeded...
Just a club base Championship at Castle Combe, it's a customers car :)
Jenvey ITB's and Emerald management and it's making 160bhp odd iirc (might be a couple more engine mods I can't remember), one of the guys has 180 odd from his :)
I'd advise you do ;)
Looks brill mate really like it :)
Grown to like these, been running 1.4 ZR Saloon racing car this year and you can get alot of N/A power from them.
There is no point even thinking on covertiong it, may seem cool starting your car with a button but at the end of the day as long as the thing starts whats the problem?
Um lol.... next year..ish :D! There's another lad who's also doing a rotrex build and we've been swapping lots of ideas and stuff and looking at doing a track and road double feature in one of the BMW mags :)
Will go with my wood and glue oil filter remote head
Wood tape and rattle can lid intercooler:
Flimsey ali Eaton charger bracket:
Wooden alternator relocation plate:
And my conduit oil hoses :)
All seemingly stone age but all systems have worked perfectly thanks to...
Because it would mess up the geometery and balance of the car and I'm doing this and going to have a monster ;)
I picked up my C30-84 Rotrex charger.
Ok so I have been designing my bracket. This is what I've come up with so far. It will be made from water cut and welded sections of...
