Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I've left the adjustment as is for the time being and i'll let it settle then adjust it. Just nice to get that job all done now and know that all the braking system is tip top. Just need to pull my finger out and get these bloody Recaros fitted :)

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Thanks to @Amos91 for the heads up on the Borg & Beck item for the NSR. I can confirm WZD is now wearing new handbrake cables and the Borg & Beck item is really decent quality for the money. The only issue I found was the protective sheathing was in the wrong place to protect the cable from...

Track cars - ideas for interior security covers ?

Can you not adapt a cover that clips in from an estate car? Might require some trimming and maybe some bolt in brackets? So mesh net ala R26R style to stop it all coming forward and a pull out cover over the top?

What do people spend on their cars ?

Oddly i've spent more on the Clio in the last 6 months than i have on the Cayman R in 3 years. Now resembling something akin to "Triggers Broom". However i do have to buy tyres for the Cayman in the spring and that's a grand, so the Clio is cheap to run and play with :)

Genuine Renault OSR from RPD and a new Borg & Beck ordered for the NSR. Lets hope these are a quality fit, i'll report back when i have them. :)

    E63 AMG mini detail

I've not long fitted a hot tap outside for this very reason. I have to say i've been gloating to myself all winter about it. Haha, Wrap up warm chap, and get yourself some SealSkins gloves. They're warm wool and waterproof :)

"Weapons grade" car! I absolutely love the big AMGs. Great job fella, even in the crap light you can see a significant difference in finish :)

Show us your decade of motoring

Back in 2010 I bought my 182 for the first time. 8k mile old minter. Owned it less than 6 weeks before it was out to the Ring for the first time that would become pretty much Its 2nd home. Also owned my Impreza. Owned since I was 21. Home built 575bhp road car. Broke it this year after 14...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

The OSR (long blue one) is still available. The NSR is NLA. Supposedly these are what people diy now, but they’re poor.

Yeah Abberton is only up the road for me. They’re the supposed correct part numbers everyone recommends for without issue. I’ve put the OEM ones back on for now. If you’re out Abberton way, let me know I’ll pop up. 🙂👍🏼

Cheers dude. She’s still wearing the original Goodridge hoses I fitted back in 2010. Just need to sort the handbrake cables as the Pagid ones don’t fit properly at all. All about 40mm too short.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

So my Christmas update. Since the rebuilt box went in, I’ve had an intermittent notchy engagement of 5th gear. I couldn’t decide if this was due to the PMS linkage not setup correctly or if the synchro was fucked? All synchros and bearings were renewed so seemed odd to me. Had a chat about it...

    PMS Anti Roll Bar Setting

For greasy wet winters as we are now I run mine on the soft setting. Also on Cup dampers and Sportlines. Come summer when I can lean on the car a little more, I’ll stiffen it up.

Is say your best bet is to have it repaired and carbon skinned if you really want a carbon one.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Finally some more progress. I had my original wheel trimmed by snappy about 8 years ago and it’s been superb. However now I’ve decided to modify the car a little I decided the wheel wasn’t keeping with the theme I was aiming for. So today I managed to get some time to get the Prototipo...

Great, have you added any camber at all to tuck the tops of the tyres? Ive seen front tyres catching on the bumper mounts on 205 section rubber with 16mm spacers and et38.5 Turinis.

Just sat and read all of this. Tidy little car and a credit to all your hard work on it. I've a 182 on Eibach Sportlines and Cup Turinis. I too am looking at spacing the wheels out. Do you get any kind or rubbing on full lock or hard compressions?
