cheers for all the posts guys. I think she's pretty much convinced on getting him the GoPro 3 now... or GoPro 2... it's packaged as a GoPro 3 but apparently unless its a 3+ is just a repackaged 2? :/ Either way, the camera and kit is on at a really good rate and by the sounds of it, it'll do the...
Hey chaps,
A girlfriend of a mate has asked me for advice as to which GoPro to buy him for his birthday next week. Problem is I know I can't afford one so I haven't ever done any research.. easiest way to resist temptation to buy! Any quick advice from people with experience of GoPro products...
Mines an RS192. I'm not into lots of noise and it's not massively noisy. I got the decat at no extra cost so it was a no brainer when considering whether to leave it out and have a normal sounding exhaust or put it on and create some giggle factor :)
Meeting Saturday 1st March 6pm. No further plans made yet but we were discussing maybe driving somewhere close by..ish
I'd suggest we all meet at either the Thatched Cottage (GU14 8NU) or in the large front area of Kingsmead car park (the one opposite the bus stops... think it's Kingsmead)?
ok... I was just thinking somewhere we can fit the cars and have a quick drink if we're waiting on people. Other options could be The Swan near the Tech College... or the Thatched Cottage near the Sixth Form? Got any ex girlfriends lurking in either of them Sparky?!
I'll be at that Fboro Hungry Horse Saturday night... gotta put on some pounds somehow :D Hopefully also by then I'll have my nice shiny new decatted RS192 on the car :)
So shall we set a date then chaps? I'm gunna say provisionally Saturday 1st March, 6pm, The Quays in Mytchett (GU16 6DS)...
No worries about the spring loaded bolts, found a thread on here advising don't buy them anywhere but Renault so I've just phoned and ordered some. Help with the arm would still be very appreciated
Hi chaps,
I'm in need of a few bits and am finding these particularly awkward to locate... Renparts keep thinking I mean something altogether different with the axle load sensor arm and I can't explain it properly to them over the phone as I can't show them... so if anyone here could help me...
Went to get a few bits checked over on my car today so couldn't resist the temptation...
And then on the way out in the pouring rain I spotted this nice little surprise :)
I suggested a weekend originally as it's the usual time people have off.. I work shift hours so I'm free at all sorts of times :) I know a month in advance or more what I'm working so if someone suggests a date I can look into it if you guys fancy meeting up sooner? Could just have a meal or...
Nice one... ok if it's really that straight forward I'll give it a go. One other question... you know the clamp and bolts between the cat and the little bit of pipe running up to the manifold? Are they included with the exhaust or would I need to buy them separate? I can't find a picture of the...
While on the subject of the RS192 with people with knowledge of fitting, do you know if there's a how to guide anywhere? I wouldn't mind giving it a go myself but not fitted a full system before. I did a couple of searches but couldn't find a guide.. guessing there must be one around?
The badge I ordered from Renault didn't fit... hopefully they've updated their parts diagram. I'd of needed to buy the whole rear badge surround as well, which surprisingly is only about £5 more; so thats £25.25 for the plastic emblem and a fiver more for all the surround. I'll never understand...
No probs, went and bought a rear emblem at a Renault garage. £25.25 for my idiocy... ah well. To anyone viewing this thread in future, follow above advice and remove the badge the correct way!
Oh right ok. They must of cost a small fortune. If u ever get to selling the car on could you drop me a PM? I'm wanting another Clio to track with and I would snap up yours
Cheers guys.. I've broken the clips though. I put the knife in from the front and popped off the emblem snapping the clips holding it in. I suppose I could glue it back in place.. But I'm not sure it'll sit properly like that.
I've just been out to the car after a long shift, still feeling the effects of last night and eager to stick some orange stickers on my emblems. Front came off nice and easy, was clearly just a pull off job. In my slightly non-thinking state of mind I decided I'de get a knife behind the rear...
ha finally, took your time there! So what's the deal with the front spoiler... is it custom? Great job on the car, seem's like a right track machine. Apart from the seats :o But the rest is tip top
My Clio may be in the garage soon... I'm wanting to get some AeroCatches fitted and don't have the tools / don't fancy making a pigs ear of the bonnet. I'll ask Richard the owner of the garage if he knows anything about it.
GK03 reg. About 20 mins / half hour ago, I noticed you come past as I was walking out of Halfords, just popped in to get some screws to fix the splitter. I was sat in the fboro gate usual 4-5pm traffic jam so got a good chance to appreciate... very smart, well looked after car. What exhaust is...
Couzens... shame your car is off the road now... Just been looking at your project thread. The car looks absolutely stunning, I wish I could justify the spend on one. I've seen two other V6's nearby, both near Woking. I know one was definitely silver... I don't remember the other. I posted...
