yes, the gisc is the governing body of insurance companies, bit like a citiens charter if u like for the insurance industry! and if u want to b a player in the insurance market place, u need to belong to gisc!
if they nreally dont wanna help, and check thoroughly cos insurance companies have good lawyers, then go to the Genreral Insurance Standards Council, or gisc for short.this is the insurance regulatory board! but like i said, if u misheard them, and thye did offer to sort it, in an unusual way...
:confused:ok lee m8, tescos insurance is provided by uki, which is part of wot used to b direct line, and is now all part of rbs insurance. altho tescos is still iunder the tesco brand obviously! god that took for ever to right!
ok, i c wot u mean. most large insurers dont charge for this, but inevitably some do. if they do charge for this, as i said to lee m, then change to someone who doesnt! for instance, norwich union dont, d/line and tesco dont, more than dont etc!
it isnt weird at all, manufacturer options, r not modifications, they r options, that is y they do not charge extra for them! u have told them it has the cup option, as far as the underwriters r concerned, its just a few xtras that renault make, which u have had added on! is that easy to...
lee, they shouldnt affect your insurance, the only thing that will, is the fact its a different car, that will account for most of the extra premium! if u arent happy, ring em back and query it, and i wouldnt b surprised if they cant find it! yknow all that surname and d.o.b business, and if...
er depends on where its kept, how many miles u would b doing, if u got a licence, or on provivsional,post code etc oh yeah, and wot job u will b doing!

thats a bit steep isnt it? the worst case scenario i came across when at tescos, was a guys premium went up by 200 notes, and so did his xs! so £600 for a fault claim is a lot !
m0st of the big companys underwriters r not car buffs, but they do know wot they r on about most of the time! if u come across one who is clued up, u could come unstuck!
