You wern't joking, got greenify running but amplify showed me what was killing the battery, tweaked that out and bingo.
I don't really do anything "tasking" on the phone anyway, browsing, calls, texts, facebook etc. My brightness is normally set pretty low as well.
Gonna root the wifes phone...
I need to install a backup system, I'm guessing you guys recommend (seeing as it's what you've mentioned) TitaniumBackup?
Just the free one or the pay one?
I love the way they've made no effort to port the UI, looks like a craptastic Android 1.0 app. lol
@Addicted Pretty much same results with battery life as you by just rooting and installing greenify and amplify.
Only problem now is that because the phone is so good when the screen is off, it makes it look super bad when you actually use it! lol
Yeah, but you have a +1 already, so that immediately makes you a higher priority for an invite.
Anybody who doesn't have a plus one and is waiting for an invite from the reservation list is going to be waiting a long time, hence getting on the forum and getting a shareable!
Seriously guys, don't bother with the "reservation invite" list.
Sign up to the oneplus forums and get posting in the UK threads, sign up to the invitation threads in those threads there and keep posting. (Keep posting is the important bit!!!)
How did you get amplify to work, says I need xposed and when i go to xposed it says that it's not compatible with my architecture and may cause the device to stop functioning!
Guess I need a different installer/build for it.
Anyone got instructions on where/what to download and how to root the device? (yeah, I know I'll lose what I've installed...)
Slightly nervous of following instructions on the OnePlus forums incase they were written by a moron!
Things to look out for? Is it true that if the bootloader locks...
Nice one, I think the phone is brilliant, my wife absolutely loves hers as well.
Don't suppose any of you "rootees" can try running lightflow but enable root control of the LED and see if it works properly? (i.e the various different flash rates work etc).
I might be tempted to unlock and root.
Facebook just pushed an update and now the fucker opens and then closes straight away. Seems to be affecting lots of different phones (Samsung etc).
Way to go Facebook!
Yeah, I tried before in tasker but couldnt find interruptions, just did a Google search and found that they'd called it interrupt. Seems to work ok!
Obviously if you start tarting about with the switch during that period then it will override and won't go back into priority automatically, but...
Just realised I can enable an auto do not disturb mode with tasker,
Interruptions in tasker are handily called "interrupt", so no wonder I couldn't find the bloody option.
Created a task that sets
INTERRUPT to Priority
if %INTERRUPT eq all
Then created a profile between 9pm and 7am which...
Swiftkey is cack anyway, never liked it, looks awful and has always been hard to type on, even going back to when I used to have nexus devices. I'm sure anybody that swears by it enjoys having their balls crushed by ladies in stilettos.
I had a ozrly one on the opo and never got it to install properly, lifted at one corner then I got so pissed with it not fitting right that I chucked it in the bin in anger.
Applied the tempered glass protector to the wife's phone this morning, last night the dog went mental and knocked her plus two onto the granite hearth! Fortunately didn't damage it, but kind of reminded me that it needed to be done. (It arrived on Monday when I was in hospital).
These really...
The WiFi on setup thing not working is just a bug, just wait for it to time out and then press skip, works fine!
Its stable as f**k though, so much more than cyanogen which had a habit of rebooting the phone on connect or disconnect of charger.
I'd be happy with stock android to be honest, I...
