NS - Nordschleife yep. Don't know how the yellow cartridges compare to blacks. Springs look softer so maybe similar damping to the silver ones?
Haven't run the bilsteins yet, got the ASTs on for the time being.
Like this?
The push in cam for the 54 versus 60 mil bolt spacing in the bottom mount hole.
Hell of a lot easier to just file out if they are.
Just be sure to file in the arc of the bolt travel as you pivot the hub. If you offer them up on the hub you should get a feel for where you...
Yes mate - although the last evo in 2006 had the yellow dampers with the NS dual rate rear spring. Both winds are marginally thinner dia - unsure of the rates as the writing has worn off :(
Are these Sportline 2 or 1? On the Sportline 2 and at least the older version of the Sportline 1 the strut casing is/was just slotted.
If the top hole on yours are recessed for the screw in shim, they'd presumably need to be milled to extend the recess that the shim locates into for it to...
They're soft compared to the Clio 2 Cup running S2Bs :)
F 18kg/mm = 1008lb/in = 176.8N/mm
R 7kg/mm = 393lb/in = 68.7N/mm (bear in mind different spring positioning/leverage)
George - what's the document you're referring to? Dropbox link Sam sent is just the parts listings. Do you have a...
Absolutely, for what you get for the money it seems to tick the box for the club guys. The modularity on the ASTs gives the option to retrofit their external canisters to make them 3-way at a later date aswell.
Noticed the guy with the nippy red Saxo (Wood/Ward?) in the French Trophy at...
In what way are they miles off Fred? Don't they now offer three different out of the box spring rate/shim options to suit a number of different applications? Failing that, don't they build & ship to whatever spec you want?
Do you get the same out of the box options with the likes of B14...
But the sportline 2 uses an invert cartridge. The cartridge casing may be 45mm, but the piston rod inside it certainly isn't. At a guess I'd say it was closer to the shaft dia of the rear units. :)
Nope. The cartridge on the sportline 2 is smaller dia & is braced against sideways loading via the strut casing that it sits in.
Haven't measured but i'd imagine theres an equivalent vol of fluid in the smaller reservoir as the shaft is also smaller dia.
Are you confusing the cartridge casing...
Sportline 2 is an invert cartridge up front. The strut casing limits side loading on the shaft via the guide seal assembly, hence the smaller dia shaft/piston for the sportline 2.
Would've thought the sportline 1 would be plenty adequate.
Assuming its an AGM/compact cell, couldn't you just stow it under the passenger seat if you're set on relocating it?

Assuming you could mod & remove the rose joints & run oem top mounts - anything to stop folk from picking & choosing oem suspension items from the Clio 2 cup?
Weird there isn't some form of policy available for third party indemnity - something akin to PLI in the workplace.
Asked previously but got no answer - what policies are typically used for competitive events?
Seems mental that a trackday could ever be considered a higher degree of risk for...
