thanks very much, so really although i changed oil myself and it not in service book it doesnt need service (stamp wise) till next year, I will do coolant and brakes myself for peice of mind.

Can you use a stainless tie wrap instead of the stupid renault clips. The renault one always seem to fall off. The tie wraps i use are a ball lock design and will last forever beign stainless. Anyone see a problem in using these?

omg how much on insurance! i would even bother with that much to pay. i got my clio182 at 21 and pay £640 for the year and had several no claims from age of 17.

i have a clio 182 and i get 31.8 mpg roughly and the most i have ever had on a long drive is 35.8mpg that avergaing from start to end of journey on motorways on cruise control too. i think for a 2L it extremly good. I would hate to reset the mpg and then drive round a track to see what you get...

i tried using a socket and the whole lot turned get a allen key and a deep ring spanner, it will come loose very easily. think it 6mm allen and 21mm ring spanner, can someone confirm. if you put a bit of tube on the allen key for more leverage :p it should be easy. once cracked loose it...
