Best way to check is multimeter on red/yellow, red shld b 12v ign switched, yellow 12v constant, some factory hu's can still run on one feed whereas aftermarket require both- so if you find it still doesnt work then itll be a fuse causing your problems
Itll be a direct fit - if the cage doesnt fit in the slot, then you will have to use brackets frm factory hu, the gap might not be too bad - but you could try a universal trim if not happy, all youll need it harness or stalk adapter and your good to go [emoji106]
Can u put up a photo?, it might be that it doesnt need one, if its an exact double din slot, then basically you remove existing stereo, then use then reuse brackets to secure new one, the only issue is there would be no trim around stereo though as the one that comes with the stereo will clip in...
There is space for one, double din as a stereo is a standard size, when looking for fascia check to see if theres a fascia kit (plastic trim cage etc) - some vehicles have slots in the fascia that are exactly double din and the cage that comes with the radio is slightly larger - so if theres a...
Same thing happened to my old clio 182 - js heard a knocking and never thought much about it, then one day noticed smoke coming from brakes. Long and short the caliper was sticking and scorched the discs so bad they failed, ended up replacing calipers and discs and pads
Just connect the blue wire from tbe PC5-137 - to ignition feed for radio, not an expert on how its made but presuming the fakra adapter seperated the power and aerial - never thought about it tbh
Dnt see a problem with scotch locks are - as they are removable and self insulating, and eliminate the risk of cutting wires too short. Would consider them more effective than bullet/butt connectors - if the op is looking at using such as an alternative to soldering
Connects2 - CTARNIPOD3 - this is the 40pin connector - if you have a newer model apple device with lightning port you can get an adapter from apple - drop Matt (MTAudio) and see if he keeps these
The op's post isnt thtat clear tbh - does he mean he wants just an aux and no radio, or an aux adapter....
If the no radio option it will need to be amped before speakers, if keep radio then will just be an aux cable - id say the post about the amp was clearer than op tbh
Tell that to the copper when he's writing out a fine for what is now classed as dangerous driving over careless driving - its not me you'd have to convince
Run it like a boss to a brodit pro clip with active holder which will charge your device at same time ;)
Also if its an ipod/phone - better off just getting a connects2 apple interface so u can control through HU,
Mind unless the device is in a holder then its technically illegal to change...
Hen night maybe - but cant see many birds wanting to get in a clio with lights like that [emoji23] - thought u were meaning footwell LEDs - each to their own - mind dnt get caught driving with them on [emoji106]
There are 3 parts to the xenon lights - blubs/ ballasts/ ignitors.
If the old bulb was smashed then it would have failed for obv reasons, if the replacement bulb is intact - it could be a fuse (both sides are fused independantly) ballast or ignitor.
Ballasts can get damaged from water ingress...
