Renault Sport BIG Meet Sunday 11th March!

I'm still gutted this has been organised for the day after a Rugby International - what bright spark came up with that one! As a result I'm definitely out as there's no way I'll be in any shape to drive by that time....

    Picture request of exhaust

Stealth look is nice but I've seen some recessed ones which look good too - just make sure you don't go for a massive tailpipe. Something around the 2.5" - 3" size

    Milestone.

I was doing 50+ a day when I bought mine but I've been lucky enough to car share with a work mate for the past 3 yrs so my mileage has reduced significantly! Good job really with the price of go-go juice these days!

my new clio cup 172 (purchased on sat)

Horrible is a bit harsh don't you think?! Exhaust is OTT and mudflaps are just wrong but what's wrong with the engine cover - matching colour so it looks ok? I know Cups don't come with them as standard but don't give me the old weight saving b0ll0cks as it weighs next to nothing Looks a motor...

How many of those 100k miles have you done in it mate? Bought my 182 in Dec 06 with 13k on the clock and it's now done 66,780

    New exhaust

Yeah bolt it on & go for it. I've never heard of needing to run / bed in an exhaust system to be honest? When Prospeed fitted mine they revved it quite hard after they'd fit it to make sure there wasn't any leaks etc. you're right about the sound though - think that usually takes about a...

Trophy meets its brother and R32

Lovely collection of motors there - I'd love an R32 but the fuel bill would cripple me I suspect!

    my new weekend toy!!! :)

maybe it's just the angle of the photo then - who knows? i've got sportlines on mine. it gives a subtle drop but nothing too stupid as mine is a daily driver.

    Trophy meets ZS

nice photos fairplay - Trophy looks mint! not reall a fan of the New RS badge on the 1*2's but that's just me. Fez looks good too. what's it sitting on cos the front looks looooow

    my new weekend toy!!! :)

looks nice but i think the front arch gap is too big to be running sportlines - looks like stock springs to me from the pic?? sportline springs are red in case you want to check

    Straight Through RS192 Exhaust

have to agree with ColinG on the one - raspy exhaust tones sound a bit 'try hard' to me. i much prefer a more subtle burble but each to their own i guess

miles to empty tank not working?

Mine shows ---- just after my fuel light goes on (stupid really as that's when you need it most!!) usually about a gallon of fuel left when this happens to me. Sure you don't just need to fill up ;-)

    182 FF content

Nice shots! It's sitting lovely but those wind deflectors are just plain GAY! (and I don't mean the traditional "happy" gay either!)

Renault Sport BIG Meet Sunday 11th March!

You can't get lost. Get off M4 at Jct33, take 1st exit onto A465 and follow the road to Hirwaun. Then when you come to the A470 in Merthyr take 3rd exit off roundabout, follow to next roundabout and then 1st exit. Although looking at that route if you come to Merthyr then you will be doubling...

Any tips on getting insurance down?

Some insurance companies still give daft quotes even when your older mate. I just renewed my insurance with adrian flux for 450 inc breakdown. (I'm 28 with 8yrs NCB, clean licence, 6k miles pa) Tesco still quoted me £1,988.00 and there are some companies that still won't even quote me?? ...

Just a few pics (1.2 Content)

Depends on budget mate but I'd go for eibach sportline springs that'll drop it about 30mm (that's what mine is on) Apex springs are waaay too hard so avoid them if you want to keep your teeth intact!
