All good points made :) Thanks for the replies. Really don`t wanna change My clio But just need to find a way to increase profit margins. With the rising cost of fuel :( I Can`t really Put prices up Currently. I am The only Instructor In My area with a petrol car lol
Re: how much have u sunk into ure clio
Bought My 05 1.4 1 year ago for 3k had 40000 miles on it. In that year I have spent around £800
£500 was too get it through mot new tyres brake discs exhaust mounting. then I had to tax it twice at 93.50 a time. Also needed new wheel bearing Got ripped...
Ok So Just want people who have this car to give me a brief review. e.g performance and Mpg.
I am Teaching people to drive in a 2005 1.4 16 valve. But I am Not making enough profit currently due to cost of fuel and I am wondering if I would save Much cash if I swapped my car to a dci 65 model...
I would Try and get one More wheel the same as the other three. It could affect the balance or the car having a different wheel On. But I am sure when Those wheels are on the car they will Look great :)
Yes Thanks to This Forum I have found Out It needs to be changed. :) My Local garage Has always said Don`t change it Until it gets to at least 70k. I have since found out through this forum It deteriorates With age and needs to be done. Really Really Glad I joined this forum :)
:( My garage have just said before 70k and it will be fine. They said age is nothing to do with it. It is the service history and mileage that effects when it is needed to be done.
All Sounds A bit dodgy too me. I would walk away. Surely if the owner of the car has just passed away the last thing the family would wan`t to do is sell the car straight away. May be worth doing a hpi check on the car if You really like it. But there are many too choose from out there so be picky.
Car Looks Great. Love the Engine Must really push You In the back of the seat when You accelerate :D
This car is an inspiration for me to do an engine swap On My 1.4. Is there any thing that was tricky for the engine conversion? Wiring or gearbox? It`s well worth every penny You spent On the...
Bad Idea. You need to have Just as Much Grip from rear tyres if Not more mate. Last Thing You want is the rear end to lose grip suddenly On surface water.
Great Colour Can mod that car nicely. Color coding and lowering would make it look Much better please don`t get lexus rear lights they have been done to death and now have the chav image unfortunately. maybe make car look subtle but sporty and install a nice stereo :)
