Sounds dodgy... Does the PC read it fine?? If so, formatt it again on the PC. My Computer > Right Click on Drive > Formatt > FAT32. Then try the stick in the Mac without the music, if it works then try it with the music.

Should be fine then, does it not show up on the desktop or in finder as a little orange icon? Tried different USB ports? Tried other USB Devices? Does it show in Disk Utility?

I went from a D40 to a D90. It is muchio better. Wish I had gone with the D300 though, feels much nicer to grip.

Just get a sb 600 and stick it in TTL mode (auto) and shoot in manual on the camera. Sorted.

Nice shots as always mate. Doing it the way you did above it probably the best way, do gigs for free - shoot and enjoy. 98% of cases the clients are going to love your photos. I don't think I would like the pressure of a paid job. I like to photograph on my own terms.
