I would say so, yes. Just be patient it's not worth ruining your ecu!
Edit: Wait, 2004 172? It may have the ecu from a 182 with it being one of the last in production!
Looking at that screenshot of the software, your ecu is ver 7300 5410. Have you got the cal file as well?

Cup shocks will help you as they are stiffer, however a set of coilovers with adjustable damping would probably be better so you can set it up as you like!

I have an after market stereo and a c2 aerial. Signal is w**k due to this setup. I'm not changing back to the normal aerial as it looks s**t, but was thinking of running an in-line booster to try and improve things. Has anyone else used one?

Why? Under the data protection act you're entitled to information help by a company about yourself. You can view this information on-line anyway for x amount of months.
